Mr. Dang Quang Sinh, Director of the Bao Thang Regional Health Center, affirmed: Improving the quality of patient examination and treatment is a consistent theme throughout the entire operation of the former Bao Thang Regional General Hospital as well as the current Bao Thang Regional Health Center. After the merger, the unit continues to promote administrative procedure reform and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment through many synchronized solutions.
According to Mr. Sinh, the strict adherence of officials and staff to communication and conduct rules, with a patient-centered approach, has helped people receive examinations and treatments more quickly and effectively, while also creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout the treatment process.
The Outpatient Department has been identified as the area requiring the most significant process optimization. Dr. Tran Xuan Tram, Head of the Outpatient Department at the Bao Thang Regional Medical Center, stated: "Specifically in the Outpatient Department, we have established a customer consultation team; installed two automated number dispensing machines and two number dispensing desks in the examination area to reduce patient waiting times early on. Currently, the center has 15 examination rooms, including three non-communicable disease clinics: two for diabetes and one for hypertension. The remaining examination rooms are located in the seven-story building."
Another noteworthy point is the on-site support system. Patients returning for follow-up appointments already have their data in the system; when it's their turn, they will be called in for examination, minimizing long waiting times. In particular, the paraclinical procedures are organized to minimize travel for patients.
In the Emergency and Intensive Care - Toxicology Department, where treatment is urgent and high-pressure, the requirements for coordination procedures and service attitude are even more clearly emphasized.
Dr. Le Van Manh, Head of the Emergency and Intensive Care - Toxicology Department, shared: Before and after the merger, the unit has remained steadfast in its principle of putting the patient at the center. The center's motto is to measure patient satisfaction. All staff members adhere to this principle to bring the highest level of satisfaction to patients and their families when they come for examination and treatment.

The effectiveness of process innovation and service quality improvement is clearly demonstrated through patient feedback.
Ms. Pham Binh Thom, a patient currently being treated at the Emergency and Intensive Care - Toxicology Department, said: "After treatment, I feel much better and am no longer as weak as I was in the beginning. This is all thanks to the dedicated care of the doctors here."
From investing in infrastructure, upgrading equipment, strengthening human resources, to reforming examination and treatment procedures, the ultimate goal of the Bao Thang Regional Health Center is to better serve patients: less waiting time, less travel, clearer guidance, and greater respect at every stage. When patients enter a medical facility feeling secure, receiving timely support, being properly communicated with, and receiving effective treatment, that is the most valuable indicator reflecting the quality of healthcare services.
