- In response to the need to improve the quality of driver training, testing, and licensing, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police has implemented numerous solutions to tighten the organization of driver testing and resolutely prevent and deter fraudulent activities.
According to observations by reporters during a driving test in mid-June 2026 at the Tung Linh Lang Son Private Vocational Training Center, the testing process was conducted rigorously. The entire testing process, from theory to practice, was automated and closely monitored using technology. The theory test room used an automatic scoring system; the simulation area and driving course were equipped with cameras and electronic sensors to monitor each candidate's actions. Each test result was recorded digitally, stored, and automatically cross-referenced, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and fairness for all candidates.

Lieutenant Colonel Phuong Thuc Dinh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police, said: In response to the need to improve the quality of driving tests, the unit is implementing many comprehensive solutions to strictly control the entire process, preventing fraud, especially the use of high-tech devices. Surveillance cameras and electronic sensors are thoroughly applied in each stage of the test, contributing to ensuring objectivity and fairness in evaluating results.
In addition, inspection and supervision in examination rooms, practical examination areas, and related areas have been strengthened; the examination process is carried out seriously and strictly in accordance with regulations.
In addition, the driver's license examination board also focuses on disseminating information about the examination regulations to help candidates understand the rules, prepare adequately with knowledge and skills, and avoid complacency or attempts to cheat.
In the first six months of 2026 alone, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Public Security coordinated with testing centers to organize 69 driving tests (48 for cars and 21 for motorcycles) with a total of 17,784 candidates participating. The results showed that 11,402 candidates passed (64.1%).
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, from Luong Van Tri ward, said: "In early June 2026, I participated in the car driving test at the Tung Linh Lang Son Private Vocational Training Center. I believe that tightening the checks on candidates before the test is a necessary step to ensure fairness, transparency, and improve the quality of drivers. When the regulations are strictly implemented, we feel more secure because the results accurately reflect actual abilities. This helps motivate students to focus on seriously reviewing their knowledge and skills..."
Tightening and improving the quality of driver testing, and proactively applying technical and information technology measures to detect fraud, not only contributes to improving the quality of driver training but also demonstrates the determination of authorities in building a serious and transparent testing environment, aiming to ensure sustainable traffic order and safety.
