Many dynamic economic models

The City's Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs and Businesses currently has 215 members operating in 9 branches, engaging in diverse fields such as small and medium-sized enterprises, services and tourism, private healthcare , forestry development, and aquaculture. Notably, many of the Association's economic models are built upon the dynamism and creativity of its members, bearing the mark of their military service.

In the tourism and service sector, there are over 55 businesses with a total investment of over 366 billion VND. This group generates approximately 16 billion VND in revenue annually, making a significant contribution to local economic development. For example, veteran Dinh Xuan Long has built a reputable hotel and service system with an investment of 113 billion VND; veteran Nguyen Ngoc Thanh in the former Phu Loc district (now Chan May commune, Lang Co district) has developed an accommodation service model with a total investment of 190 billion VND…

In the private healthcare sector, two exemplary models have also made their mark: the clinics of veteran-specialist Doctor Nguyen Thanh Son and veteran-doctor Nguyen Quang Hop. With their professional quality and reputable services, these two models create jobs for over 100 people, contribute hundreds of millions of dong to the state budget each year, and regularly provide free medical examinations and treatment for people in remote areas, war invalids, and those with particularly difficult circumstances.

The Association also has strengths in the fields of farming, family farms, and forest development. Notable examples include the large-scale forest planting model of Mr. Le Van Tao (100 hectares of forest); Mr. Nguyen Van Don (120 hectares of forest combined with melaleuca oil processing); Mr. Van Duc Tuan with his tree nursery; and Mr. Pham Huy Chuong, who achieves a profit of approximately 800 million VND per year and provides employment for hundreds of local workers…

Alongside production development, the Association focuses on activities connecting product consumption. From 2020 to 2022, revenue from the Association's linkage activities reached over 2 billion VND. In particular, the product connection group of the Phu Vang branch maintained an average revenue of 190 million VND per month, ensuring stable outlets for members' agricultural and aquatic products. Over the past period, the Association has focused on promoting knowledge training for its members; more than 800 members have participated in training courses on agricultural and fisheries extension, environment, finance and taxation, business management, etc., contributing to improving production capacity, applying technology, and increasing the competitiveness of products.

New thinking goes hand in hand with local development.

Entering a new phase amidst challenging economic conditions, the City's Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople is determined to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, the resilience of soldiers, and innovative thinking for more sustainable development. The Association focuses on strengthening its organization, improving the quality of its activities and operations, and ensuring stable, professional, and effective performance. Simultaneously, it strives to increase its membership by over 10%, aiming to create additional resources and expand the reach of the movement of veterans excelling in economic activities.

In production and business, the Association encourages innovative models, promotes the application of technology, and facilitates digital transformation tailored to each industry. The target of approximately 10% annual growth and 12% job creation represents a step forward, demonstrating a commitment to improving product quality, competitiveness, and market adaptability. The Association promotes market linkages, product promotion, and the development of sustainable consumption chains among its members. Efforts to resolve issues related to capital, land, and legal procedures continue to be prioritized through collaboration with management agencies, banks, and credit institutions. Training will be strengthened to improve business management skills, market access, and the application of new technologies in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and the development of high-quality tourism services.

Besides its economic development mission, the Association still pays special attention to activities that show solidarity with war veterans. The Association will support members in difficult circumstances, express gratitude to those who have made contributions, and build 2-3 more "Houses of Solidarity for Comrades"... to maintain and preserve the values of compassion and social responsibility, the spiritual foundation of war veterans.

With clear direction, unwavering spirit, and a desire to contribute, the 2025-2030 term promises to be a period in which the community of veteran entrepreneurs and farm owners in the city will continue to affirm their position, make positive contributions to local socio-economic development, and spread and amplify the positive image of soldiers in peacetime.
