2025 marks the 55th anniversary of the first television broadcast and also the year VTV becomes the sole national television station after taking over the functions and responsibilities of several media organizations.
With its new role and position, Vietnam Television (VTV) has always strived to implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam : "Everyone - anytime - everywhere - sharp - engaging," carrying out the directives of the Government and the Prime Minister. VTV has not wasted time and opportunities, optimized its operations, gradually expanded its development space, and modernized its operational equipment. It has organized timely, comprehensive, in-depth, and effective dissemination of guidelines and policies, especially strategic resolutions. News programs, live broadcasts, documentaries, and large-scale televised events have contributed to spreading national pride, strengthening social confidence, and creating consensus among the people.

Emphasizing that 2026 is a particularly important year, the Prime Minister suggested several issues to help VTV better fulfill its mission.
