In August 2008, Dong Phu Technical Rubber Joint Stock Company (DORUFOAM) commenced construction. DORUFOAM is a subsidiary of Dong Phu Rubber Joint Stock Company (DORUCO), a member of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG). DORUFOAM is also the first and only unit within VRG to produce foam, mattresses, and pillows from 100% natural rubber.
With over 10,000 hectares of rubber plantations, of which more than 9,000 hectares are already in production with an output of over 17,000 tons/year from Dong Phu Rubber Company, DORUFOAM benefits from an abundant and high-quality source of rubber latex. From this, DORUFOAM has invested in new technology lines to process high-end products to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.
Visiting the DORUFOAM headquarters in Tan Lap commune (Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province), we witnessed firsthand the process of "transforming" liquid rubber latex into durable and resilient mattresses and pillows.
At DORUFOAM, the entire advanced technology line is transferred from Malaysia, with modern machinery imported from Germany. In particular, DORUFOAM has a team of nearly 100 young, dynamic, and highly qualified professionals.
DORUFOAM mattresses and pillows are also manufactured using a completely closed-loop process, from selecting rubber tree varieties - planting - harvesting - and processing the latex at the processing plant of Dong Phu Rubber Company.
Mr. Dam Duy Thao, General Director of DORUFOAM, shared that DORUFOAM always implements and maintains the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system, and ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety standards. Mr. Thao emphasized that sustainable development must go hand in hand with environmental protection through systems and measures to reduce emissions and prevent pollution.
Accordingly, the latex raw material does not use preservatives, ensuring that the products are consumer-friendly on the market. The waste treatment process is modern, including biological filtration ponds and a wastewater filtration system that converts wastewater into clean water for reuse…
Finished mattresses and pillows undergo rigorous testing for firmness, elongation at break, etc. All products leaving the factory meet the standards for latex mattresses and pillows, as certified by the Malaysian Rubber Board (LGM) and the Malaysian Rubber Research Institute (RRIMCORP).
Thanks to outstanding efforts, in 2015, DORUFOAM was honored to receive a commemorative gift from former President Nguyen Minh Triet on the occasion of the inauguration of the S'tieng ethnic cultural conservation area in Bom Bo hamlet (Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province). At this event, former President Nguyen Minh Triet encouraged rubber industry officials and workers to further develop the industry's strengths to continuously grow, reduce the export of raw rubber latex to the international market, and enhance the value of DORUFOAM mattresses and pillows.
