On the evening of February 11, the weather in Nam Dinh was chilly, without rain, favorable for tourists to enjoy spring and participate in the festival. As the night wore on, more and more people flocked to Tran Temple, wishing to witness the sacred seal opening ceremony and pray for good luck at the beginning of the year with the belief of a smooth and favorable new year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Head of the Management Board of the Tran Temple - Thap Pagoda Historical and Cultural Relic Site, the Seal Opening Ceremony has profound humanistic values ​​with the meaning of "Accumulating boundless blessings", demonstrating the spirit of preserving family traditions and accumulating blessings for future generations to enjoy sustainable prosperity. This is not only a sacred ritual but also an attractive spiritual and cultural tourist destination for visitors.

From 10:40 p.m., the solemn procession of the palanquin from Co Trach Temple to Thien Truong Temple took place. In the sacred space, the leader of Nam Dinh City People's Committee read a speech praising the merits of the Tran Dynasty and affirming the important meaning of the festival.

At 11:15 p.m., the official Opening Seal ceremony was held. 14 seniors and representatives of departments and branches stamped the opening seal on yellow paper seals, then offered them to communal houses and pagodas in the area.

From 11:55 p.m., Tran Temple reopened for people and tourists to come and worship. From 5 a.m. on February 12 (January 15), the temple organized the distribution of seals at designated locations to serve the need to request seals at the beginning of the year.

Traditional festival with many special activities

Tran Temple Opening Ceremony is one of the typical spring festivals of Nam Dinh, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year. This year, the Festival Center project has been basically completed, bringing a more sacred and spacious space for festival activities.

Many unique cultural and artistic activities were organized such as water puppetry, lion-dragon dance, cockfighting, human chess, OCOP product display, historical photo exhibition "Thanh Nam - historical milestones" and beautiful photo exhibition of Nam Dinh tourism.

To ensure safety, Nam Dinh Provincial Police mobilized more than 2,500 officers and soldiers divided into many protective rings, implementing traffic flow, crime prevention, ensuring order and fire safety.

During the night of the ceremony, traffic police organized traffic flow from a distance, limiting large vehicles from entering the festival area to ensure convenient movement for visitors.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu, Vice Chairwoman of Nam Dinh City People's Committee, emphasized that the work of ensuring environmental hygiene, health and food safety is strictly implemented. The Organizing Committee also strengthens inspection and strictly handles violations to create a good impression on tourists, preserve and promote the traditional cultural beauty of the Tran Temple Opening Festival.
