With a passion for medicinal herbs, Ms. Pham Minh Hau began her entrepreneurial journey with her line of "green" products.
PV: What milestone led you to decide to start your own business?
Ms. Pham Minh Hau: I am a native of Nghe An province. My work as a journalist has allowed me to travel extensively, and I realized that I want to spread the unique cultural characteristics of my homeland. So I started by preserving and introducing Quy Hop pounded tea.
At that time, no one knew about this drink. My sisters and I took each bamboo tube containing tea leaves to introduce it at the Ma May Ancient House ( Hanoi ). That was a time when I didn't have money to pay salaries to my colleagues, but it was a very emotional period and motivated me to continue developing.
PV: Choosing to start a business with "green" products, this path must not have been easy for you?
Ms. Pham Minh Hau : It started with passion, then my path became clearer and I decided to pursue this product line. I was a complete novice, never having done business before. "Green" products were a new product line in 2015, quite niche.
We acquire knowledge, share it, and almost accompany our customers in using products derived from nature. This process takes a lot of time. We hope to introduce our customers to herbal products that are researched and applied using modern science combined with traditional experience.
With a passion for medicinal herbs, Ms. Pham Minh Hau began her entrepreneurial journey with her line of "green" products.
Nowadays, consumer habits regarding "green" products have changed. For example, when it comes to hair washing, many consumers used to wash and dye their hair with chemicals, but now many people use entirely natural products.
Besides, the price of the product is also a barrier to reaching customers. All-natural products are usually more expensive, and customers will compare prices when making their choice. But I think this is also an opportunity to strengthen our ability to improve the quality of our service.
We regularly organize product experience activities or workshops. Customers can try out, feel, and form their own opinions before deciding to purchase the product.
PV: What are your aspirations for bringing your products to a wider range of consumers?
Ms. Pham Minh Hau : I cherish the dream of building a medicinal herb garden. There, I will grow medicinal plants with high practical applications, a place where people can experience and learn about various medicinal herbs, and even try their hand at gardening and making small products to explore the uses of these herbs. This will allow them to break away from current habits, return to nature, and respect and use products from nature.
PV: Thank you!
