"As you know, we held talks with our allied state, with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, about the partial deployment of these tactical weapons to Belarusian territory. That has happened – the first nuclear warheads have been delivered to Belarusian territory. This is the first batch. We will complete this work by the end of this year," Putin stated in his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The Russian president emphasized that this measure would have a deterrent effect. Also at the event, President Putin said that he has a negative view on the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons.
