At several production facilities in Phuoc Thai commune, authorities focused on inspecting electrical systems, high-power electrical equipment, escape routes, and the arrangement and operational status of on-site fire-fighting equipment such as portable fire extinguishers and fire-fighting water supply systems. In addition, facility owners were instructed to develop contingency plans for fire and explosion incidents and signed commitments to strictly comply with fire safety regulations.
For small businesses, especially those combining living and trading spaces, authorities are focusing on disseminating information on fire prevention skills, safe electricity usage, neat merchandise arrangement, and ensuring that escape routes are not obstructed. Many businesses have been reminded and instructed to immediately rectify shortcomings such as: placing flammable materials near heat sources, tangled electrical wires, and a lack of fire extinguishers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, the owner of a mechanical workshop in Phuoc Thai commune, said: “Through the inspection, I received more specific guidance on how to arrange equipment, check the electrical system, and use fire extinguishers. Previously, we had these equipment but didn't pay much attention to it. Now that we've been reminded, I realize the need to take it more seriously to ensure safety.”
