All of this creates a unique series of activities that attract city residents and tourists to the festival; building the image of Ho Chi Minh City as a safe, attractive, and friendly destination for tourists.

At the same time, the Festival creates opportunities for businesses to promote and introduce tourism products and services, meeting the increasing needs of tourism consumers, and expanding opportunities for cooperation between businesses in provinces and cities nationwide.
After four days of activities, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival – International Food Festival 2020 concluded on the evening of July 19th.
The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2020, themed "Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City: Vibrant with Every Experience," recorded special features such as: for the first time, 50 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide participated; 96 tourism, service, and food businesses attracted nearly 200,000 visitors, transactions, and program purchases. For the first time, Ho Chi Minh City and 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and Southeast region will have a shared booth spanning 150m2 to promote the effectiveness of regional tourism development cooperation agreements.
The Tourism Festival also focused on products that stimulate domestic tourism, with promotional programs from businesses being supported by information on the website www.kichcaudulichtphcm.vn. Simultaneously, within the framework of the Festival, Ho Chi Minh City launched the first medical tourism website in the country, www.dulichytetphcm.com.

According to preliminary reports from tourism businesses, over 9,300 successful transactions were recorded in the four days of operation, mainly focusing on tours connecting the Northwest, Northeast, Central, Mekong Delta, and Southeast regions. Revenue from tourism, service, and food businesses reached over 40 billion VND.
At the closing ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism awarded numerous prizes to units with beautiful booths and diverse activities that attracted many visitors at the tourism fair and food fair, as an encouragement for businesses in their efforts to compete and improve service quality in the era of integration.
This occasion also marked the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Saigon Tourist Group (Saigontourist Group) for the period 2020-2025.
