

Ta Xua commune currently has 13 villages and over 11,000 inhabitants, of which the Mong ethnic group accounts for more than 90%, mostly Black Mong. Besides the unique traditional culture of the Mong people, Ta Xua is also blessed with a "cloud paradise" and many famous landscapes such as the "dinosaur spine" ridge, ancient tea hills in Ta Xua and Be villages... making it an attractive destination for tourists to visit and experience.
Closely linking cultural preservation with sustainable tourism development, creating livelihoods and improving the lives of the people, in recent years, Ta Xua commune has regularly organized many unique cultural and artistic events, such as: the Mong Ethnic Culture Festival, the Ta Xua Cloud Festival, the Horse Racing on the Clouds Festival, becoming highlights that attract thousands of tourists to experience the Mong cultural space and enjoy local cuisine .
With the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group in the era of integration and sustainable development," the 2025 Mong Ethnic Culture Festival in Ta Xua commune was organized with many rich and distinctive activities, such as: folk art performances, khen flute performances, collective khen flute dances, exhibitions of beautiful photos of Ta Xua; and embroidery demonstrations on fabric. In addition, many stalls introduced and displayed characteristic local agricultural products.



The festival also included traditional sports competitions and folk games. Thirteen teams, comprising nearly 100 athletes from various villages, competed in events such as pao throwing, tug-of-war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, tug-of-war, and rice cake pounding.
The festival attracted a large number of people from the highlands to participate and cheer, strengthening community solidarity among the people of the highland villages, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere in preparation for welcoming the New Year and the traditional Tet holiday of the Mong ethnic group.
