Vietnamese Cultural Day in Budapest

According to VNA correspondents in Eastern Europe, on June 27 and 28, in District 3, Budapest (Hungary), the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary coordinated with local authorities to organize Vietnamese Cultural Day, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The event took place with a variety of activities such as screening of documentary films about Vietnam - Hungary relations, exhibition of paintings and photos introducing the country and people of Vietnam, and outstanding achievements after more than 40 years of Renovation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai emphasized that the Vietnamese Cultural Day in Budapest is not only an occasion to honor national cultural identity but also a bridge of cultural exchange, contributing to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the close coordination from the District 3 government, and affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Hungary will continue to promote its role as a bridge of friendship, actively contributing to the Vietnam - Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.

Mr. Kiss László, District 3 District Chief, highly appreciated the initiative to organize the event and affirmed his readiness to accompany the Embassy in cultural exchange activities of the Vietnamese community. He also proposed promoting the twinning relationship between District 3 and Son Tay town (Vietnam), creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate and actively contribute to local development.

The highlight of the event is the exhibition of photos and videos about the 75-year journey of bilateral relations, high-level visits, cultural heritage and achievements of Vietnam's innovation. The exhibition helps Hungarian people better understand a peaceful , dynamic and deeply integrated Vietnam.

In addition, agricultural export stalls such as cashew nuts, coffee, tea, traditional spices, etc., along with typical culinary spaces and traditional art performances, brought a lively cultural experience, attracting a large number of local people.

The event ended in a friendly atmosphere, expressing a clear message: Culture is a sustainable connection, contributing to consolidating and developing the friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Hungary in the new period.
