* According to the Department of Tourism , during the 5-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, Nghe An province welcomed and served about 950,000 tourists (equal to 122% compared to 2023), of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 350,000. The average room occupancy rate is over 90%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at more than 1,700 billion VND.

* According to the Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, during the day and night of May 1, Nghe An is likely to experience thunderstorms. With the motto "green at home is better than old in the fields", farmers in Yen Thanh district are actively racing to harvest rice to avoid thunderstorms and minimize damage.

* With the theme "Worker solidarity - Resolution implementation", Nghe An Trade Union's Workers' Month has been built with many different creative activities, affirming the role of the organization and the position of the working class.

* The fire in Nam Dan and Thanh Chuong districts (Nghe An) was completely controlled on the morning of May 1. However, at the scene, some forests were burned down and are unlikely to recover.

* Nghe An province has directed units, forces, authorities of Nam Dan and Thanh Chuong districts and people to continue to raise vigilance and not be subjective because the weather is still unpredictable. Units are required to continue to assign people to be on duty 24/7 to prevent the fire from breaking out again.
