Nghe An: Highlights of April 24th

* On the morning of April 24th, in Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province organized a meeting with Dien Bien Phu soldiers, youth volunteers, and civilian workers on the front lines to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 – May 7, 2024).

* The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 14/CD-UBND dated April 22, 2024, on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the travel needs of the people during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the peak summer tourism season of 2024. Accordingly, control and strict handling of traffic safety violations will be strengthened during the April 30 holiday.

According to the construction unit, as of April 23rd, the Dien Chau – Bai Vot expressway project has completed 85% of the contract value. The first 30km of the route is approximately 94% complete. It is expected that by April 28th, the project will be largely completed, meeting the conditions for traffic flow up to the QL46B interchange.

* On April 24th and 25th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Forest Protection Department organized a training course on forest fire prevention and control for 2024.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a copy of the Letter of Credence for the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam.On the afternoon of July 2nd, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Mr. Le Cong Dung, Director of the State Protocol and Foreign Interpretation Department, received a copy of the Letter of Credence from Ms. Jennifer Wicks, Ambassador of the United States of America to Vietnam.

Vietnam encourages US businesses to expand investment in high technology.On the morning of June 26th, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung received Mr. Jeff Place, Supply Chain Director of Coherent Group (USA). During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam encourages US businesses to expand investment, especially in high-tech, innovation, and semiconductor industries.

* After a long period of stagnation, from the beginning of April 2024 until now, the land market in Nghe An is showing signs of heating up again. Land auctions attract a large number of participants, and buying and selling of land plots is quite active.
