Nghe An: Highlights of February 26th

* On the morning of February 26th, along with other provinces and cities nationwide, localities in Nghe An province organized the 2024 military enlistment ceremony, ensuring safety and efficiency. Provincial leaders attended and encouraged citizens embarking on their military service. Among the citizens enlisting this time were 19 Party members and 887 citizens who volunteered to enlist; 1,424 young people who had attended Party membership training courses; 192 young people with university, college, and vocational school degrees; 810 young people from ethnic minorities; and 205 young people with religious beliefs.

* On the afternoon of February 26th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to summarize the work of COVID-19 prevention and control in the province during the 2020-2023 period. The conference aimed to draw lessons from leadership, direction, and implementation of disease prevention and control measures; thereby better fulfilling the task of responding to new, urgent, and complex public health issues; and unforeseen social problems that may arise.

* On the morning of February 26th, the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Vietnamese Trade Office in Houston, organized an online conference to explore the US market and business networking opportunities in 2024.

* In the first few months of 2024, the textile and garment industry had a favorable start, with many businesses in Nghe An province having orders until June.
