* On the morning of February 5th, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh Square and the Ho Chi Minh Monument, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "Uncle Ho and Spring"; the Traditional Tet Space and the Spring Press Festival 2024.

* On the morning of February 5th, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on personnel matters. At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Internal Affairs announced three Decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee appointing the Director of the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; the Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs; and the Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office.

* On the evening of February 4th, 2024 (the 25th day of the 12th lunar month), authorities in Vinh City installed and decorated the dragon mascot for the Year of the Dragon 2024 at the art flower garden on Ho Tung Mau Street. This promises to be a highlight for tourism, serving both locals and visitors in the new year.

* In the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), hundreds of fishing boats from Hoang Mai town dock at the fishing port to take a break for the holiday. The boats are full of seafood, with scad being the most abundant.

* With only a few days left until the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, bananas used for offerings are becoming a hot item in local markets . Many customers are looking to buy bunches of bananas with an odd number of fruits, priced at 300,000 - 350,000 VND per bunch.

* The 2024 Tet holiday marked the first time farmers in Nghi Lam commune (Nghi Loc district) harvested shallots on land traditionally used for growing spring onions. After 5 months of cultivation, the initial results show promising results.
