"The Green Plateau Sky" is a new film produced by the Television Film Center (Vietnam Television), commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Force (July 12, 1946 – July 12, 2026).

The film, which profoundly portrays the sense of responsibility, dedication, and silent sacrifices of soldiers who tirelessly safeguard the peace of the nation, is scheduled to air on VTV1 at 9 PM from Monday to Friday every week, starting July 6th.
The Central Highlands – a region boasting majestic natural landscapes and rich cultural identity, but also harboring numerous issues related to ethnicity, religion, and security. The film unfolds a journey of struggle to protect the stability of the villages against conspiracies that exploit trust, incite division within the community, and undermine the State. Throughout the work is a story about responsibility, faith, and the strength of national unity in preserving the peace of this vast mountainous region.

The film opens with a retired police general returning to a place he was once deeply connected to. His return to the Tơ Rơi mountain forest awakens memories of a turbulent period, when the peace of the village was threatened by forces exploiting the villagers' lack of understanding, their hardships, and their lingering wounds to sow discord.
At the heart of the story are two police officers from two different generations, each with their own experiences and approaches. Pham Minh, Deputy Head of the Internal Security Department of the Provincial Police, is a seasoned, courageous, and experienced officer. Through years of service, he understands that in protecting security in mountainous regions, professional skills are not everything. More important is building trust and a strong bond between the government and the people.

In contrast to Minh's composure, Quang Tuan is a young, enthusiastic, and sharp-witted Captain in reconnaissance. Upon taking on the mission at To Roi, he embarks on a journey of growth filled with challenges. These real-world experiences help Tuan realize that some battles cannot be won by speed or brute force, but require perseverance, sharing, and the ability to touch people's hearts.
Under the direction of Meritorious Artist Nguyen Mai Hien, "The Green Plateau Sky" does not build a simple battle between good and evil. Each character carries their own conflicts, their own wounds, and faces their own choices.

Characters like A Lang, Lok, Y Lien, Gia Rin, and A Dui represent various facets of life in the Central Highlands villages. They reflect the contradictions between the past and the present, between faith and doubt, between the desire for unity and the risk of being exploited by evil forces to divide the community. These very fates contribute to a realistic portrayal of life in the highlands amidst many changes.
Through the characters' stories, the film conveys the message that protecting national security doesn't just begin with special cases, arrests, or direct confrontations. The deepest foundation of national security always begins with the people's hearts, with community solidarity, and with the trust between the people and the forces protecting the country.

Besides its topical and insightful content, "The Green Plateau Sky" also impresses with its large-scale production and numerous settings spread across the Central Highlands mountains and forests. The crew carried out filming under challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions to authentically recreate the beauty of the vast forests as well as the challenging working environment of the security forces.
The film also attracts viewers with its talented cast, beloved by audiences, including Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai, Ha Viet Dung, Xuan Phuc, along with actors Luan Nguyen, Thuy Nga , Hoang Nhan, The Manh, Ngoc Anh, and others.
The film's production process received close cooperation from units under the Ministry of Public Security , including the Political Affairs Department, the Internal Security Department, the Economic Security Department, and the Gia Lai Provincial Police, contributing to the creation of a realistic work with rich professional depth and real-life emotions.
