Nghe An: Highlights on April 8

* On the morning of April 8, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held its 17th Conference. At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee listened to a report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011 - 2025); a report summarizing 5-year Party building work (2021 - 2025); and summarizing Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated May 30, 2019 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

* The Provincial Party Committee of Agencies organized the 2024 Excellent Party Cell Secretary Competition. The 2024 Excellent Party Cell Secretary Competition had the participation of 51 comrades representing 422 Party cells in the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee of Agencies. In the preliminary round, the candidates performed 3 parts: Self-introduction, General knowledge test, and Situation handling test.

* Vinh City inaugurated the modern reception and result delivery department. Vinh City's reception and result delivery department handles 253 administrative procedures under its authority, ensuring that 100% of administrative procedure files are processed at the department in a timely, quick, transparent, friendly, professional, efficient and modern manner.

* Tan Thang Commune, Quynh Luu District is the largest "pineapple granary" in the province with over 850 hectares, of which over 30 hectares of pineapple are grown organically, achieving outstanding income of over 400 million VND/ha/crop.

* On April 8, the Military Command of Ngoc Son commune coordinated with the Engineering Department, the Provincial Military Command, and the Military Command of Thanh Chuong district to successfully detonate a 500-pound bomb (weighing about 226 kg) left over from the war.

* After nearly 6 months of investigation, the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of Nghe An Border Guard, in coordination with the Border Guard stations of Muong Ai, Tam Hop, Nam Can, Na Ngoi and the Border Guard Station of Nam Can International Border Gate, successfully broke Project NA 1123.
