Nghe An: Highlights of April 8th

* On the morning of April 8th, the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held its 17th meeting. During the meeting, the Executive Committee heard reports summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025); a report summarizing Party building work over the past five years (2021-2025); and a summary of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated May 30, 2019, of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 13th National Congress of the Party.

* The Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc organized the 2024 Excellent Party Branch Secretary Competition. The competition saw the participation of 51 comrades representing 422 party branches within the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc of Nghe An province. In the preliminary round, contestants participated in three parts: Self-introduction, General knowledge test, and Situation handling test.

* Vinh City inaugurates a modern reception and results delivery office. The Vinh City reception and results delivery office handles 253 administrative procedures under its jurisdiction, ensuring that 100% of administrative procedure files are processed at the office promptly, quickly, transparently, in a friendly, professional, efficient, and modern manner.

* Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, is the largest pineapple growing area in the province with over 850 hectares, including over 30 hectares of organically grown pineapples, achieving outstanding income of over 400 million VND/hectare/season.

* On April 8th, the Military Command of Ngoc Son commune, in coordination with the Engineering Corps of the Provincial Military Command and the Military Command of Thanh Chuong district, successfully detonated a 500-pound (approximately 226 kg) bomb remaining from the war.

* After nearly 6 months of investigation, the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Nghe An Border Guard Command, in coordination with the border guard posts of Muong Ai, Tam Hop, Nam Can, Na Ngoi and the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Post, successfully cracked Case NA 1123.
