Nghe An : The planned location for the North-South high-speed railway station is near the VSIP Industrial Park.

The North-South high-speed railway line passing through Nghe An province will have a length of 85.5 km, with the passenger pick-up and drop-off point being Vinh station located in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province.

According to information from the Nghe An Provincial Department of Transport, the locality has submitted to the National Assembly a proposal to select Vinh station as the location for the North-South railway line section passing through Nghe An.

According to the proposal, Vinh station will be located in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province, between the 72-meter-wide road of the VSIP Industrial Park and the new National Highway 46 connecting the west with the city center. This will be a four-track station, with all trains stopping there.

The Vinh train depot, which manages, parks, and maintains train carriages, was located in Hung Tan and Hung Thang communes (now Hung Nghia commune), Hung Nguyen district, to serve the Ngoc Hoi – Vinh railway line.

The North-South high-speed railway line passing through Nghe An province has a total length of 85.5km. It is planned to have 2 depots to serve maintenance equipment (such as compactors, track leveling machines, ballast air conditioners) and to store supplies and materials.

Accordingly, Station 1 is located in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district. This station serves the maintenance and repair work for the section of the line in front of Vinh station, belonging to the Thanh Hoa – Vinh section. Station 2 is integrated into the Vinh depot to optimize land use and facilitate operations. This station serves the maintenance and repair work for the section of the line behind Vinh station, belonging to the Vinh – Ha Tinh section.

The section from Hoang Mai to Than Vu Mountain, after crossing Truong Lam Mountain, is planned to bypass the Hoang Mai Cement Factory, heading west, situated between the existing railway corridor and the expressway, in strict compliance with local planning.

The line runs parallel to the existing railway line, approximately 100m to 400m to the west, within the districts of Quỳnh Lưu and Diễn Châu.

The section from Than Vu Mountain to Lam River: The route crosses the Than Vu tunnel, bypassing the O O dam, and is located within the planned corridor through the Southeast Economic Zone. The railway mainly runs parallel to the east of the expressway, then is sandwiched between the expressway and the Vinh City bypass.
