Fishermen caught a marlin weighing 200 kg.

Today, February 2nd, Mr. Tran Viet Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Gio Hai commune (Gio Linh district), confirmed that a fisherman in the area caught a huge marlin while fishing at sea.

The person who caught this large fish is Mr. Bui Dinh Khoi (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 4, Gio Hai Commune, Gio Linh District).

This marlin is over 3 meters long, has a girth of about 80 cm at the belly, and weighs 200 kg. Its body is two-colored, white and black.

Mr. Khoi said that after bringing the fish ashore, he sold it to a trader for 16 million VND.

Earlier, at 5:00 AM on February 1st, Khoi and three crew members were fishing in the area of ​​Con Co Island, about 40 nautical miles from the shore, when they discovered a large marlin caught in their net.

It took a lot of time and effort for him and his colleagues to tow this fish ashore to sell to traders.

Upon hearing the news that Mr. Khoi had caught a huge sailfish, many locals gathered to see it.

Previously, in 2021, Khoi's boat also caught a 550kg marlin. He then sold the fish to traders for 22 million VND.
