According to Neowin , last month, Valve's Hardware & Software Survey on Steam painted a bleak picture for Windows 11. Microsoft's latest operating system saw its popularity drop from 30% to 22% in just one month.
There is no clear reason to explain this significant decline in market share, so many believe it stems from the inconsistency in the user base across the platforms participating in the survey.

Recently, the April survey results were released, revealing the complete opposite: Windows 11 regained lost ground and is now at an all-time high. According to Valve , in April 2023, Windows 11 increased by 10.98%, reaching its highest market share of 33.39%.
Windows 10 still holds the number one position with 61.21% market share, down 12.74% from the previous month. In summary, Windows 10 and 11 currently account for 94.6% of all Steam users who agreed to participate in the survey. The specific statistics for each operating system are as follows:
- Windows 10 64-bit - 61.21% (-12.74)
- Windows 11 - 33.39% (+10.98)
