For more than 23 years as a cadre of Son Loc commune, Ms. Than Thi Huong has taken on many jobs such as: in charge of irrigation, population and family planning. In 2017, after retiring, she was elected as Secretary of the Party cell of Phuc Son village.

Promoting the role of a party member and a party cell secretary, Ms. Huong always demonstrates a sense of responsibility, taking on many important tasks in the process of building new rural areas in the village.

Ms. Huong's strong mark in her role as village party cell secretary is reflected in the implementation of Resolution 01 - NQ/HU on land concentration and accumulation of the Standing Committee of Can Loc District Party Committee.

In early 2023, Phuc Son village started implementing the policy of land concentration and accumulation, but due to lack of full awareness and thoroughness, many people did not really agree in the implementation process. As Head of the Village Land Conversion Committee, Ms. Huong chaired many meetings, propaganda, and persistently analyzed so that people could understand the role and impact of the major policy on economic development and improving people's income and life. "Slow and steady wins the race", gradually, the people of Phuc Son village understood, agreed, and enthusiastically implemented.

As a result, in 2023, Phuc Son village completed the target of accumulating 11 hectares of agricultural land, and gradually shifted from small-scale production habits to large-scale concentrated production.

To mobilize resources to equip more items at the village cultural house, Ms. Huong has promoted and mobilized people to understand the value and benefits that the "Intellectual House" brings to the spiritual life of the people, calling on children far from home to join hands to help.

Therefore, in a short time, the village mobilized more than 100 million VND, combined with 100 million VND supported by the province and district, the Phuc Son village cultural house was fully equipped with items such as: tables and chairs, traditional corner, reading corner, TV, computer connected to the internet... This place has become a favorite cultural activity place for people of all ages in the village.

In addition to fulfilling her role as Party cell secretary, Ms. Huong also actively "ignites" volunteer movements, sports and arts activities... in the locality. From 2021 to 2023, she and her comrades in the Party cell mobilized nearly 100 million VND to take care of the poor during Tet; mobilized hundreds of millions of VND to support house building and giving gifts to families in difficult circumstances; organized sports tournaments...
