Recognizing the crucial role of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization in schools, Mr. Trinh Hoang Tham always prioritizes advising, proposing, and organizing many effective activities at Hang Vinh Primary School in Nam Can commune. The Hang Vinh Primary School Young Pioneers Team has continuously grown stronger, attracting a large number of children and teenagers to participate. Many movements have taken place enthusiastically and practically, and the outstanding contributions of the collective and individuals have been recognized, praised, and rewarded by various levels of authority.

To expand and improve the effectiveness of activities, Mr. Tham actively mobilized participation and support from various resources in terms of funding, personnel, and time. Thanks to the smooth coordination, many meaningful activities were successfully organized, creating a comprehensive training environment for the children. Notable examples include: "Reading and following the Children's Newspaper," "Small Projects," establishing a "Fund for the Poor"; the "Red Phoenix Flower Singing Contest," "Painting Contest," "Beautiful Handwriting Contest," "Traffic Safety Contest," "Storytelling Contest about Uncle Ho"... In particular, the "Vietnamese Children - Study Well, Train Diligently" movement has become a highlight, creating motivation for the children to strive for excellence in their studies and training.

Teacher Trinh Hoang Tham shared: “In my opinion, the current head of the Youth Union needs communication skills such as communication and using social media to spread positive information, along with creativity and innovation in the form of Youth Union and Association activities, transforming them into experiential activities and games. In particular, the application of technology to Youth Union and Association activities is also essential. Combining tradition and modernity is crucial to retain and attract members and upgrade propaganda activities.”

During his five years as the Head of the Youth Union at Hang Vinh Primary School, with his dynamism, enthusiasm, and willingness to take initiative, Mr. Tham organized many activities based on five fundamental areas for students and Youth Union members at the school: developing life skills; maintaining a clean and beautiful school environment; organizing joyful and healthy group activities; learning about, caring for, and protecting local historical sites... Simultaneously, he regularly organized traditional games such as tug-of-war, sack racing, jump rope, and lemon passing during group activities and extracurricular events to help students and Youth Union members feel more active and develop more open-minded thinking.

For Mr. Tham, the work of the Youth Union and Student Association not only fosters dynamism and creativity in students but also guides their thinking, helping them to deeply understand the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," and awakening a spirit of self-awareness and initiative in the school's educational activities. For this reason, Mr. Tham suggested to the Principal of Hang Vinh Primary School to regularly organize cleaning and incense burning ceremonies on holidays and festivals at the memorial monument for heroic martyrs and other historical sites in the locality.

Teacher Thám shared: “Over the years, I have always focused on building and developing strong relationships both inside and outside the school, aiming to attract the participation of many different groups. This has significantly contributed to the success of the Youth Union's activities for many years. The effectiveness of education has been continuously improved, as evidenced by the increasing number of members achieving the title of "Good Child of Uncle Ho," "Good Child," "Excellent Student," and "Good Youth Union Member." This movement has not only received positive responses from the members but also strong support from the school leadership, colleagues, and parents, contributing to proud achievements.”

Passionate about "rekindling" the movement

In addition to his work with the Youth Union and Student Association, Mr. Tham also runs swimming classes for children to prevent water-related accidents. He willingly takes on the responsibility of transporting students who lack the means to travel to the swimming lessons, aiming to equip them with the knowledge and skills to swim and rescue their friends in drowning situations.

Teacher Tham said: “In 2018, I mobilized social resources to set up a mobile swimming pool at Hang Vinh Primary School and organized free swimming lessons for more than 200 underprivileged students. Many of them later won high prizes in swimming competitions. To ensure that the children have solid skills to protect themselves and provide first aid to their friends in case of drowning, I have to teach swimming techniques in an easy-to-understand way, patiently with each student, especially the children.”

Teacher Tham advised, and the school's Board of Directors agreed, that during each weekly flag-raising ceremony, classes would take turns telling heartwarming stories to spread positive values, help children avoid bad influences, and cultivate moral qualities such as respect for grandparents and parents, and friendliness towards peers. As a result, many young members of the Youth Union and children have performed meaningful actions, most notably returning lost items to their owners.

Mr. Tham's only concern is that the activities of the Youth Union and Student Association are somewhat quieter than in previous years, and the talented members at the school have not yet fully developed their skills to maximize their potential. His greatest wish is for the Youth Union and Student Association movement to be rekindled every day. He hopes that the young members who grow up within the movement will be the next generation of leaders, the extended arm that lays a solid foundation for the movement in the new phase of development in their homeland.

Teacher Trinh Hoang Tham, dedicated to the Youth Union and Student Association, tirelessly leads the children's movement every day and preserves fundamental values for the school: unity, responsibility, and compassion. His dedication is a silent but powerful flame, helping countless generations of students grow and confidently enter life.
