Village 1 presents a vibrant tapestry of diverse ethnic communities, comprising 175 households and 781 inhabitants, with ethnic minorities accounting for approximately 75%.
The intertwined daily life and production activities might seem prone to minor conflicts, but for many years, Hamlet 1 has maintained peace. And to achieve this, the quiet but crucial role of Mr. Luu Thanh Giap cannot be overlooked.
Mr. Giap has dedicated his entire life to the land and people of Ea Nuol. Since 2001, he has been trusted and elected by the villagers as a respected figure in the hamlet, and from then on, his journey of serving the community officially began.
From his position as village head and respected community leader (2001-2013) to Party branch secretary and respected community leader (from 2012 to present), Mr. Giap has always considered the work of mediating disputes and fostering community spirit as an important role and responsibility.

Sharing his secret to building trust with the local people, Mr. Giap sincerely said: "The reason for this trust is my participation in grassroots mediation work. Whenever the people have a problem, we are there immediately to help them understand and resolve it completely. Therefore, the people feel very secure."
These weren't just empty words, but a guiding principle for all his actions. When disagreements arose, he didn't wait, he didn't beat around the bush, but was present at the scene, investigating the matter thoroughly and listening to multiple perspectives.

Last year, the village's mediation team handled a family dispute. The couple, both over 50, had grown children and grandchildren, but their conflict arose due to working far from home. The long separation, coupled with external influences, led to mutual suspicion and distrust. The family, worried, reported the matter to the village for intervention.
Mr. Giap didn't rush to judge right from wrong, but instead carefully considered all sides, listening to his neighbors. Then he gently explained: "When husband and wife are separated for a long time, suspicion easily arises. Now that we're old and our children are grown, we must set an example for our children and grandchildren. Our family owns land for farming; returning to our hometown to work, tend to the gardens and fields, will keep us close and give us peace of mind." These slow, sincere words gradually resolved the misunderstandings between the couple. They decided to return to their hometown, work together, and build a family. The conflict was resolved amicably.
Another case in 2023 involved a land dispute between two neighboring households when market land prices were soaring. He and his mediation team went to the site to carefully examine the boundary, then met with the two families to discuss and analyze the situation: "Neighbors help each other in times of need; we will live together for a long time, so we should try to maintain neighborly relations and work together to build our community." These sincere words helped the two families understand each other, compromise, and find common ground.

Sharing about his work, Mr. Giap simply said: "I earned my reputation by doing things genuinely. Whatever the people need, I must be there immediately, working with them to understand and resolve the issues completely. The goal is to ensure the people feel secure."
The most commendable achievement for Mr. Luu Thanh Giap and the village mediation team is that, to date, the village has never had a case that needed to be brought to the commune level for resolution. In addition, Mr. Giap and the members of the mediation team regularly disseminate information and encourage legal awareness and solidarity within the community, significantly reducing the number of complex cases.
Having dedicated over two decades to community service, Mr. Luu Thanh Giap has become a symbol of commitment and responsibility in Hamlet 1, Ea Nuol Commune, contributing to fostering solidarity and working together to develop the village.
