Known by the nickname "Jerry World," AT&T Stadium in Texas is not only the opulent home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys – the world's highest-grossing football team – but is also considered one of the world's leading modern and large-scale sports facilities.
For the 2026 World Cup , due to sponsor brand interests, the AT&T Stadium will be renamed Dallas Stadium. With a capacity of up to 100,000 spectators and a massive, impressive dome design, this multi-billion dollar stadium will continue to be a focal point of world sports as it will host more matches than any other city hosting the 2026 World Cup (5 group stage matches, 2 round of 32 matches, 1 round of 16 match, and 1 semi-final).

This stadium is located in Arlington, Texas, a city with a large Vietnamese population. Not only are there Vietnamese communities in Arlington, but the AT&T Stadium, situated in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth region, encompasses Arlington and many other cities with significant Vietnamese populations, such as Grand Prairie, Dallas, Garland, and Irving. If you include Houston, Texas (which has also hosted some games), San Antonio, and Austin, the Vietnamese community in Texas is the second largest in the United States, after California.
Therefore, this World Cup has become a festival for the Vietnamese community in Texas. Notably, the AT&T Stadium is very close to the Vietnamese residential area, within a radius of only about 2 km, so the excitement of the World Cup is palpable right outside everyone's doorstep.
Many Vietnamese fans from other states also traveled to Dallas to witness the top-tier matches firsthand, immerse themselves in fan festivals, enthusiastically cheer for international teams, and experience the biggest football event on the planet right in their second homeland. In particular, on June 23rd, Messi made history at this AT&T Stadium. Many generations of Vietnamese people here love Argentina – the team that won the 1986 World Cup in Mexico – the time when Vietnam first watched live World Cup broadcasts on television, via satellite channels from the former Soviet Union.
Therefore, many Vietnamese people hunted for tickets to watch their favorite team play. Even singer My Tam, who came from Vietnam, went to the stadium to watch this match. The Dallas downtown area, with its FIFA-organized Fan Zone, was also the chosen destination for Vietnamese people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to indulge their passion for the biggest football event on the planet.
Vietnamese business and cultural centers are also increasing their activities this season to best serve the football-loving community and international fans who will be coming to Dallas for the 2026 World Cup.
