"New energy source" for soldiers

In the journey of building a strong and comprehensive armed forces in An Giang province, the youth of the armed forces are increasingly affirming their pioneering and creative role, being a reliable political force, bringing "new energy" to all revolutionary action movements.

Promoting the pioneering role

During the period 2022-2025, the Youth Union's work and youth movement within the armed forces of An Giang province took place in the context of the country's accelerated industrialization, modernization, and deep integration, while also facing many difficulties and challenges. Youth Union organizations innovated their content and methods of operation; promoted education on ideals, ethics, and lifestyle, and fostered political fortitude among their members. Forums such as "Youth and Military Discipline," "Proud to be a Soldier of the An Giang Armed Forces," and thematic activities like "Young People of the Provincial Armed Forces: Courageous, Disciplined, and Regular" were regularly organized, creating a comprehensive training environment for Youth Union members and young people.

The movement "Youth cultivating virtue, honing skills, being proactive, creative, and worthy of being Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era" has been concretized through many practical models such as the "rice jar of compassion," the "100-dong house," youth branches with no members violating discipline, and one beautiful act per week. Through these movements, 100% of youth members have cultivated strong political resolve, lived with ideals, strictly adhered to discipline, and contributed to maintaining regular order and building an exemplary military cultural environment. Lieutenant Colonel Le Van I Nit - Secretary of the Youth Union of Regiment 892, said: "The most important thing is to help young soldiers understand that every action and every deed contributes to building the unit. When they have faith and motivation, they will be more self-disciplined, creative, and disciplined."

During combat readiness training, the young members of the provincial armed forces consistently demonstrated the spirit of "overcoming the sun and rain, enthusiastically practicing," and "sweat on the training ground saves blood on the battlefield." As a result, 99% of the personnel participated in training, with over 77% of the content achieving good or excellent results; all drills and live-fire exercises were conducted with absolute safety.

Cultivating the people's support.

Along with their training duties, the youth of the provincial armed forces actively participate in civilian affairs work and the construction of new rural areas, contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people. Youth projects such as lighting up rural roads, volunteer Saturdays, green Sundays, building rural roads to help people harvest crops, and constructing bridges for the people... have been effectively implemented, creating a positive impression in the hearts of the people.

At Regiment 892, the movement to cultivate virtue and talent is implemented systematically, contributing to building a regular, green, clean, and beautiful environment. At the Command Post of Defense Zone 1 - Long Phu, the initiative "Electronic Handbook to Support Political Work" won first prize at the provincial level, becoming a typical model of applying information technology in propaganda and education . At the Command Post of Defense Zone 2 - Long Xuyen, forums such as "Youth with Revolutionary Ideals," "Young People with Digital Transformation," and "Learning and Following Uncle Ho" are regularly organized, helping members raise awareness and strengthen their political resolve. Meanwhile, at the Command Post of Defense Zone 6 - Ngoc Chuc, activities such as establishing fraternal ties, giving gifts to poor students, and disseminating legal information contribute to strengthening military-civilian solidarity and building a solid foundation of public support.

Pioneering in the digital transformation era.

Entering the 2025-2030 period, the youth of the An Giang Armed Forces face new demands, needing to adapt quickly to the digital transformation process and build a regular, elite, and modern force. The motto for action is clearly defined: "Unity - courage - dynamism - creativity - pioneering digital transformation." Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, emphasized: "Every officer, member, and young person must constantly learn, master science and technology, become a core element in the unit's digital transformation process; spreading the spirit of creativity and dedication, worthy of being called Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era."

In that spirit, the youth of the armed forces in the province continue to innovate the content and methods of their activities, focusing on the grassroots level, linking youth movements with training, combat readiness, civilian affairs work, and building exemplary and outstanding units. Each youth union member is a nucleus for spreading a culture of lifelong learning, contributing to the formation of a digital culture in the army, meeting the requirements of the new era. Captain Nguyen Thai Hoc - a youth union member of Regiment 892, author of the initiative "Improved Training Gun Stand" shared: "We always believe that creativity is not far away but begins from the practical realities of our mission. Each initiative is the dedication and aspiration of the youth of the armed forces in An Giang, wishing to contribute a small part to the building of a modern army."

Concluding one term and opening a new chapter, the youth of the An Giang Armed Forces continue to move forward with the faith and aspirations of the new generation of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers - united, courageous, proactive, creative, and pioneering in digital transformation, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive provincial armed forces and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
