Nguyen Viet Trung was born in 1996, in Hanoi. Showing his musical talent early, at the age of 7, his family allowed him to study piano under Professor Filomena Dziedzic at the Im Oskara Kolberga School of Music in Warsaw, Poland. Just two years later, at the age of 9, Trung won the First Prize of the Emmy Alberg contest in the city of Lodz, Poland.
After that, Nguyen Viet Trung won prizes at piano talent competitions held in Poland: Second prize in the competition for young pianists (no first prize), First prize in the competition for performing works of Chopin and "Golden Note" Award for the young player who best performed Mozart's work at Sochaczew in 2006; Third prize at the International Piano Festival for Young Pianists, award category for young pianists performing the best 20th century music at Glubczyce (2007); Second prize at the international piano competition named after Ludwik Stefanski and Halina Czerny Stefanska in Plock (2008). Graduating with an excellent master's degree from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Poland at the age of 25, Nguyen Viet Trung is currently pursuing a doctorate under the guidance of Professor Kevin Kenner at Frost School of Music, USA. . He also studied with many famous professors such as: Dang Thai Son, Tatiana Shebanova, Katarzyna Popowa - Zydron, Dmitri Alexeev, Boris Berman, William Grant Naboré... During his performing career, Nguyen Viet Trung has performed with famous orchestras under the direction of famous conductors such as Wojciech Czepiel, Le Phi Phi, Honna Tetsuji, Łukasz Borowicz, Marek Pijarowski, Wojciech Rodek, Jacek Rogala . Performing this time in Hanoi, Nguyen Viet Trung will solo Rhapsody on the theme of Paganini, Op. 43 for piano and orchestra, by Sergei Rachmaninoff, a Russian musical genius.
