Linh Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (located in Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) produces and supplies various types of machinery for agricultural production. The company's products are not only well-received in provinces and cities nationwide but are also exported to several countries in the region, such as Laos and Cambodia. The company was honored in the Top 3 of the Vietnam Innovation Hub Award 2023.

The business owner is Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, a farmer who started his business investing in the manufacturing and production of agricultural machinery, stemming from the practical needs of agricultural production. Thanks to his achievements in inventions and innovations in agricultural machinery production, Mr. Linh was honored as a Scientist for Farmers in 2024 and received the title of Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer in 2025.

Based on practical experience

The opportunity for young farmer Nguyen Van Linh to become involved in inventing and manufacturing agricultural machinery began when he independently researched and developed a few tools and machines for use in his own garden. Neighboring farmers saw the effectiveness, hired him for services, and some even placed orders to purchase the machinery.

Seeing the great market potential, Mr. Linh started producing agricultural machinery for the market. His products became known to customers nationwide thanks to farmers who bought and used them effectively and then recommended them to others.

My greatest aspiration is to contribute to the development of mechanization in Vietnam. I hope to access funding to produce more lines of agricultural machinery at more affordable prices and with higher quality.

In 2023, Linh Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established. The owner, Nguyen Van Linh, who comes from a farming background, shared: “I am a farmer, so the journey to becoming a business owner manufacturing agricultural machinery has been very difficult. I didn't receive much formal education; all the knowledge I've accumulated in machinery manufacturing comes from practical work and the needs of farmers. I learned to be a lathe operator and opened a workshop specializing in repairing agricultural tools and machinery for farmers. The process of researching, tinkering, repairing, and understanding the structure and operating mechanisms of many types of domestically produced and imported machinery has helped me accumulate a lot of knowledge.”

Mr. Linh added: “My philosophy when manufacturing machinery is to create machines that are simple, easy to operate, and have readily available spare parts to suit farmers' needs. In manufacturing, I always listen carefully to farmers' product requirements to advise and design the most suitable machine. I engrave the company name and phone number on the product so that users can call immediately if they need anything.”

Mr. Linh considers himself to have chosen a slow but steady path of learning. When establishing his business, he began to explore and learn about management, market development, and brand building for his products. The core principle he always prioritizes is maintaining a reputation for quality.

Mr. Linh recounted: "My joy comes from seeing the effectiveness of the machinery used by the villagers. They call to thank me, sometimes even giving me durian or a chicken as gifts, but within that is a huge act of recognition. This gives me great motivation to continue doing what I'm doing."

Aspiration to contribute to agricultural mechanization.

Linh Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is producing and supplying eight lines of agricultural machinery to the market, including: rubber latex pumps, rubber leaf blowers, drainage ditch digging and pipe burying machines, grass shredders, improved compact sprayers specifically for durian, orange, and pomelo orchards; multi-purpose sprayers, etc. The prices of these products range from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of VND, depending on capacity and type.

Speaking about the products currently popular in the market, Mr. Linh shared: “The ‘5-in-1’ multi-functional pesticide sprayer is my most prized product. I created it more than 10 years ago, but it remains the ‘king’ product in the current pesticide sprayer market. The machine integrates many functions such as: spraying pesticides; a smoke fumigation system to kill pests; an electric shock system to kill stem borers, a very difficult pest to treat on fruit trees today; and also includes a leaf blower system for fire prevention and control. The spraying function has many advantages, holding 1,000 liters of pesticide and being able to spray 3 hectares of crops in one hour. In particular, the machine can spray pesticides to a height of over 30 meters, designed to produce very fine spray particles; the machine has an air system that pushes the pesticide far, penetrating every nook and cranny of the leaves and stems, and the pesticide is distributed in two layers – spraying from below and covering from above – optimizing pest control. This machine is a prime example.” It helps save 25% on pesticides and reduces labor costs by dozens of hours compared to traditional methods. Importantly, using the machine only requires one person to operate it, eliminating the need for highly skilled workers.

The products of farmer-inventor Nguyen Van Linh have made a significant contribution to the mechanization of agricultural production, helping to free up labor, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency for farmers. Mr. Linh continues to strive every day to improve and enhance the quality of his products.
