Every Tuesday, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) releases its music charts in six Southeast Asian countries: the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam (collectively known as The Official SEA Charts).
The winner is Truc Nhan.
Instead of individual figures, The Official SEA Charts' data is compiled from various digital music streaming platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Deezer... Regardless of the platform the listener is on, the stream count is recorded.
Accordingly, the ranking is based not only on the number of streams but also on the economic value of each stream. A stream from a paying user is worth many times more than a stream from a free listener.
With the chart now active since the beginning of this year, the Vietnamese music market has another channel to refer to alongside older charts such as YouTube Music Charts, Lan Song Xanh, Billboard Vietnam Hot 100, Zingchat, Spotify Vietnam, NhacCuaTui, Vietnam Apple Music, etc.
Regarding Vietnamese music in February, besides the two vibrant seasons of Tet and Valentine's Day music with the participation of many newcomers and veterans, singers and songwriters, including quite a few interesting collaborations, some previously released products continued to prove their appeal as they were sought out by audiences and remained at the top of the charts.
As a result, the charts recorded the widespread popularity of Truc Nhan's music video "Van Su Nhu Y" (Everything Goes as You Wish) , which featured 68 showbiz artists.
Although it hasn't reached "national hit" status or permeated every corner, the song, released on the evening of January 8th, was listened to throughout February and its popularity hasn't waned even now, as the Tet holiday atmosphere still lingers.

According to The Official Vietnam Charts, "Everything Goes Well" consistently ranked in the top 10 from week five to week eight of February, leading the charts in weeks seven and eight.
In the Green Wave program, the top 10 most popular Vietnamese songs are announced at 12 PM every Friday on FM 99.9Mhz radio.
Accordingly, "Van Su Nhu Y" (Everything as You Wish) is also in the top, especially the latest weekly chart which updates the return of Truc Nhan to the "throne" after being overshadowed by the mashup "Rock Thiep Hong" (performed by Toc Tien, Muoi, Dao Tu A1J, and Yeolan) the previous week.

The new dark horses of Vietnamese music
Apart from some familiar names like Quang Hung MasterD, Truc Nhan, Den Vau - Justatee, Bui Cong Nam, Hoa Minzy, Phan Manh Quynh - Tang Duy Tan..., the charts all record the breakthrough of newcomers.
Notable examples include VSTRA ( Who Besides You , in collaboration with Tyronee); Obito ( Lately ), Juky San ( The First Person , with buitruonglinh), Nguyen Hung (Miracle , with MayDays and Minh Toc & Lam), Anh Quan ( It's Impossible ), MayDays ( See You Next Time ), Low G ( In Love ), Duong Domic ( No Time ), Phuong Ly ( Applause ), Ricky Star ( The Heart of Cuu Long ), Jack ( The Winter Solstice Child , soundtrack from My Father's House, One Room )...

Among them, dangrangto attracted attention with two products in the top: "Why Does First Love Hurt So Much?" (a collaboration with MIN and antransax) and "My World " (with DONAL).
He also just released a mini EP on February 28th, including "For You , " "My World," and "Come Here to Me on an Autumn Afternoon ," and is continuing to prove his appeal with a rather good start.
VSTRA is also a formidable newcomer, with her song "Ai ngoài anh" consistently appearing in the top of various charts, from The Official Vietnam Charts, Billboard Vietnam Hot 100, Lan Song Xanh, Top 50 Vietnam Spotify, Vietnam Apple Music... Her album "Trieu " is currently enjoying high and stable listen counts on these platforms.
Ricky Star's music video " The Heart of Cuu Long"
Ricky Star - one of the hottest rappers in Rap Viet season 1 - is making an impression with his music video "Tam Long Cuu Long," which has garnered 3.3 million views after two weeks of release.
Currently, the song sits comfortably in the top 4 of YouTube Music Charts Vietnam and the top 3 of the latest Green Wave chart. Compared to other songs, "Tam Long Cuu Long" is particularly special because it clearly originates from the "vibe" of the Mekong Delta, and is currently being "shipped" by audiences as a new "dark horse" of Vietnamese music in March.
February's music scene is diverse, featuring many styles, with pop ballads remaining dominant, but also including R&B and rap. There are both underground artists like dangrangto, Low G, and Ricky Star, as well as artists making their way into the mainstream.
March 1st also marked the end of a vibrant, diverse, and exciting Lunar New Year music season, yet one that still lacked a breakout hit to become a national phenomenon.
No one has yet created a phenomenon in Tet music or a Tet music playlist dominated by one person, like the "king of Tet music," Bui Cong Nam, has done in previous Tet music seasons.
Among the most listened-to songs of February, "My Wedding" (composed by Trong Nhan) is noteworthy. The song is performed by AI singer Tieu My. This song also surpassed one million streams on several platforms such as YouTube (nearly 5.5 million streams), Zing MP3 (5.1 million streams), Spotify (1.7 million streams)...
