This was not only a moment of triumph for musical talents, but also demonstrated that Vietnamese music is gradually asserting its position in the global cultural space. The journey of bringing Vietnamese music beyond national borders is gradually becoming a reality through the aspiration for integration and its unique identity.

Let Vietnamese voices be heard on the international stage.

One of the most notable milestones in Vietnamese music in 2025 is the continuous success of talented artists on the international stage. Significantly, singer Duc Phuc became the champion of the Intervision International Music Competition held in Moscow (Russia) with his explosive performance of "Phu Dong Thien Vuong," conveying a message about the hidden strength and resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people. Duc Phuc's performance, a blend of folk music and modern rap, made a strong impression on the judges and international audience during the final night (September 20, 2025), allowing him to surpass over 20 contestants from various countries and territories to claim the championship.

Duc Phuc's impressive victory earned him a Certificate of Merit and a congratulatory letter from the Prime Minister, affirming it as a shared source of pride for contemporary Vietnamese music and culture. He also expressed hope that this success would inspire artists to continue promoting Vietnamese culture to the world . The male singer stated that he will strive even harder to spread the spirit, history, and aspirations of the Vietnamese people to international friends through music.

Also proudly showcasing Vietnamese singing on the international stage is Phuong My Chi in the prestigious Sing! Asia competition, which brings together singers from many Asian countries. With works combining traditional Vietnamese music with many modern elements such as "Bong Phu Hoa," "Rock Hat Gao," "Buon Trang," "Ly Bac Bo," etc., Phuong My Chi not only impressed the judges to win third place overall, but also created a wave on digital platforms, with many performances topping YouTube trends and attracting tens of millions of views.

Another memorable milestone was singer Tung Duong being honored in the International Special Awards category at the Music Awards Japan 2025 – Japan's largest music awards. This is the first time a Vietnamese artist has received this honor, marking an important step in bringing Vietnamese music to the world. The judging panel, comprised of judges from prestigious charts and over 5,000 music industry experts, assessed Tung Duong as an artist with a suitable musical direction, a strong creative imprint, and a profound influence on the music scene.

Upon receiving the award, the male singer expressed: “This is not only a great honor for me personally, but also a source of pride for Vietnamese music, for the artists who always strive to preserve and spread the values of our national culture to the world. I am happy to have contributed a small part to the journey of bringing Vietnamese music closer to international friends, so that melodies and lyrics imbued with Vietnamese identity can resonate on big stages, touching the hearts of those who have never known my country.” Singer Tung Duong hopes that with this award, Vietnamese music will become more widely known and that more young artists will confidently reach out to the world, carrying with them the aspirations and identity of the nation…

On the journey to make its mark on Vietnamese music globally, many artists and organizations have strived to overcome challenges to organize concerts and shows featuring purely Vietnamese music abroad. A prime example is singer Ha Anh Tuan's live concert project "Sketch a Rose," entirely Vietnamese in style, which has been successfully held at prestigious theaters worldwide, such as the Esplanade (Singapore), Sydney Opera House (Australia), and Dolby Theatre (USA) over the past year. Before thousands of international audiences, Ha Anh Tuan performed newly arranged Vietnamese songs with orchestras and a production team entirely from Vietnam. "Singapore, Australia, or the USA are all opportunities for me to dream a shared dream for Vietnamese music, to proudly and compassionately showcase it to the wider world," the singer shared.

In 2025, singer My Linh also made a significant step forward in her career with her Asian tour titled "My Linh Hello Tour 2025," visiting Yokohama (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea). The veteran diva of Vietnamese music, along with other Vietnamese artists, celebrated the melodies of a country undergoing renewal, integration, and always cherishing its cultural values.

Young artists are also contributing to expanding the reach of Vietnamese music. Singer Vu with his concert "Museum of Regrets" in Australia, and Van Mai Huong with "Huong - Live in Tokyo" demonstrate the increasingly global mindset of the domestic music industry.

Many producers are also beginning to show ambition to expand the market for the Vietnamese entertainment industry, such as bringing the "Brother Says Hi" concert to the US to perform at PH Live on Planet Hollywood – a famous venue located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, which has previously hosted regular concerts by international stars. A representative from DatVietVAC, the production company, stated that organizing the "Brother Says Hi" concert in the US is considered a strategic move to affirm the organizational capabilities, product quality, and global mindset of the Vietnamese creative team. This is both an opportunity for young artists to showcase their performance abilities on an international stage and a chance for overseas Vietnamese audiences and music lovers worldwide to experience a dynamic aspect of the Vietnamese entertainment market.

Built on a foundation of creativity, professional expertise, and a commitment to preserving national cultural values, Vietnamese music is gradually expanding beyond national borders, firmly establishing itself on the path of integration into the global cultural space and asserting its position in the world.
