Entering the new season, the first opponent for Luis Enrique's team is also a Premier League representative – Tottenham, currently undergoing a transition with Thomas Frank.

Upon arriving at Friuli Stadium in Udine , a northern Italian city, PSG aims to bring the European Super Cup title back to Paris, adding to their already impressive collection in 2025 .

PSG fans and Luis Enrique are hoping Dembele will continue to shine in the European Super Cup.

Compared to the time they won the European Championship in Munich, PSG have strengthened their squad with the addition of Ilya Zabarnyi – one of the most expensive central defenders in history (66 million euros), and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier (55 million euros).

Chevalier is likely to start in goal at Friuli, as Luis Enrique is looking to put Donnarumma in his place.

Ruben Neves is suspended, but PSG's squad is considered superior to Tottenham's – who have just parted ways with Son Heung Min and will be without James Maddison for an extended period.

“The European Super Cup is a fantastic game and a great way to start the season , ” Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven said optimistically, showing no fear of PSG.

Beyond the desire for the title, the battle against PSG and the crucial test for Thomas Frank are important before Spurs enter the Premier League this weekend.
