Tottenham's leadership is actively negotiating an attractive deal to bring Roberto De Zerbi in as manager of the North London club.
Spurs are currently facing the risk of relegation due to a string of poor results in the Premier League. After parting ways with Igor Tudor, the club sees De Zerbi as their number one target to revive the team.

Initially, the Italian manager was hesitant to take the job before the summer. However, Tottenham are now convincing him with a five-year contract and a super-attractive salary of £12 million per year.
If the deal goes through, the 54-year-old manager will receive the second-highest salary in the Premier League, behind only Pep Guardiola (£20 million/year).
The contract release clause in the event of Tottenham's relegation was also discussed in detail by both parties.
The London team is currently 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone, with only seven rounds remaining in the season.
Immediately after sacking Igor Tudor, Tottenham committed to appointing a new manager within a few days. The club, unwilling to continue with an interim manager, returned to court De Zerbi.
Back in February, the Italian strategist had rejected an offer from Spurs after Thomas Frank was sacked, because he wanted to take a break after leaving Marseille.
Other sources reveal that Tottenham also tried to sign Marco Silva from Fulham, but the Portuguese manager wanted to remain at Craven Cottage.
