Many officials were disciplined.

Kinhtedothi - The inappropriate allocation of officials in some localities with festivals has caused delays and frustration among the people. Along with other violations, many officials and civil servants have been disciplined.

In accordance with the Directive of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on strengthening discipline and order in state administrative agencies in the province, in the first quarter of 2025, the relevant authorities conducted inspections of 15 district-level units, 29 commune-level units, and 1 public service unit under the Department. As a result, many officials were found to have violated regulations.

According to reports from various units, in the first quarter of 2025, 26 officials and employees from 7 units committed violations and were disciplined. Specifically, one person was dismissed and five were reprimanded from the Department of Health ; ten people were reprimanded from the People's Committee of Lang Chanh District; one person was reprimanded from the People's Committee of Muong Lat District; one person was warned from the People's Committee of Quan Hoa District; one person was reprimanded, one was dismissed, and one was warned from the People's Committee of Tho Xuan District; one person was forced to resign from the People's Committee of Vinh Loc District; and one person was reprimanded and three were warned from the People's Committee of Nhu Thanh District.

According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Internal Affairs, surprise inspections revealed that most agencies and units inspected performed well in administrative discipline and order in the performance of their duties; they did not attend festivals or visit temples during working hours; they did not use official vehicles to attend festivals; they did not allow work to accumulate due to the Tet holiday; and they did not organize spring excursions or celebrations.

However, during the inspection, the inspection team noted that in some localities and commune-level units with temples, pagodas, and festivals, the assignment and arrangement of officials and civil servants on duty to handle citizens' affairs was inappropriate, leading to long waits and frustration for citizens when carrying out administrative procedures. Typical examples include the People's Committee of Quang Cu Ward (Sam Son City) and the People's Committee of Kien Tho Commune (Ngoc Lac District). Subsequently, the inspection team drew up a report and sent a document to the People's Committee of Sam Son City and the People's Committee of Ngoc Lac District requesting corrective measures and handling.
