Many destinations are confident they will be big winners.

The cruise ship Oceania Riviera (registered in the Marshall Islands) carrying 1,200 tourists has just docked at Cam Ranh International Port, marking the beginning of cruise tourism tours in 2025.

It is projected that by April 2025, Khanh Hoa will have 9 registered cruise ships with approximately 14,650 tourists arriving at Cam Ranh International Port. This is a positive sign for the recovery and development of cruise tourism, and contributes to the success of Khanh Hoa's tourism industry in the new year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, noted that this Tet holiday, in addition to domestic tourists, Khanh Hoa will welcome many international visitors from South Korea, China, Kazakhstan, Poland, etc. Many tourist areas in the province have actively prepared new products and decorations to serve visitors celebrating the Lunar New Year. The Nha Trang tourism industry aims to welcome 11.8 million overnight visitors in 2025; including 5.2 million international visitors and 6.6 million domestic visitors; striving to achieve revenue of 60,000 billion VND.

According to plans, tourism businesses in Nha Trang will invest in many programs to celebrate the Lunar New Year. VinWonders Nha Trang will have a tulip festival with 15,000 brightly colored flowers, a spring fair, folk games, and 20 food stalls featuring cuisine from all three regions of Vietnam. Yangbay Tourist Park will invest in a 3-hectare flower garden for visitors to enjoy and take photos during the Tet season. Champa Island Nha Trang tourist area will also organize the "Making Tet cakes, returning to the Tet of the past" program on the afternoon of January 25th (26th day of the 12th lunar month)...

In Lam Dong province, Da Lat city is currently welcoming a large number of tourists who flock to admire the cherry blossoms in full bloom in areas such as Mong Dao Nguyen (Lac Duong district), Cau Dat (Xuan Truong commune), and the outskirts of the city. In the city center, cherry blossoms, jacaranda trees, and bauhinia flowers are also beginning to show off their beauty. Along the roads, tourist destinations are also being decorated in preparation for Tet (Lunar New Year), promising a bountiful peak tourist season for Lam Dong province.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, tourism revenue in 2024 is expected to exceed 18,000 billion VND. On January 22nd, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued Directive 01, requiring a focus on developing tourism into a key economic sector in a high-quality and sustainable direction, creating momentum for the development of related industries based on the foundation of green economy, circular economy, digital economy, and cultural industry. Lam Dong will attract investment in leading high-end resort, eco-tourism, health care, and sports centers in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

For tourism in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, 2024 continues to be a year marking double-digit growth. According to the Department of Tourism's report, compared to 2023, the total number of visitors to the province increased by 13.11%, reaching over 16 million. Notably, Ba Ria - Vung Tau has for the first time been included on the Net Zero low-emission tourism destination map with the Suoi Rao Ecolodge (Chau Duc district) being certified as a carbon-neutral destination by the Institute for Applied Research and Business Innovation (3AI).
