Inspiring a passion for learning and creativity.
In recent years, competitions and activities such as: youth informatics competitions, youth and children's creative competitions, youth creative and entrepreneurial festivals, young creative ideas competitions, children's math Olympiad, English Olympiad, online math competitions, or "I love science - Codekitten" have become familiar gathering places for students in many localities.
These playgrounds not only test knowledge but also provide opportunities for students to apply what they have learned to practice, develop problem-solving skills, and foster creativity. Through these activities, students are introduced to programming, science and technology , STEM models, presentation skills, teamwork, and idea generation. The widespread impact of the movement is demonstrated by the fact that 100% of the Youth Union Councils at all levels have organized and participated in the Young Informatics Competition. Many units have proactively developed creative experiential models, bringing technology and science closer to students.

As a member of the Lam Dong Provincial Youth Activities Center Team, Dang Nguyen Khang, a 5th-grade student at Doan Thi Diem Primary School (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat), said that the computer science and science competitions have given him the opportunity to learn many new things, especially programming skills and logical thinking. “Every time I participate in a competition or experiential activity, I get to meet friends with similar interests, exchange ideas, and learn many useful things. I feel more confident in presenting my thoughts and have more motivation to continue learning,” Khang shared.
Along with technology, foreign languages continue to be one of the areas attracting widespread student participation. Children's English competitions, English Olympiads, and English-language cartoon dubbing contests provide opportunities for students to practice their communication skills, boost their confidence, and broaden their understanding of the world.

An environment for children's holistic development.
Besides provincial-level competitions, the network of clubs is becoming a regular learning environment for children. The province currently maintains 1,859 clubs focusing on learning, hobbies, skills, and children's rights. These are spaces where children can share their interests, hone their skills, and develop their talents.
At the Provincial Youth Activities Center, 26 specialized clubs and groups with nearly 540 members are regularly maintained. Many models, such as chess clubs, junior reporter clubs, and clubs focusing on skills, arts, and creative science, have created an environment for children to learn, interact, and grow through various activities. Alongside this, the "Creative Experiential Recess" model has been implemented in 100% of the youth groups. The time between lessons is utilized for students to participate in experiential activities, intellectual games, simple science experiments, and life skills training. These small activities contribute to creating a vibrant learning environment, sparking curiosity and a desire for exploration in children.

From science and technology competitions to hobby clubs, from language playgrounds to reading culture, the range of activities for children in Lam Dong province is becoming increasingly diverse. According to Ms. Trinh Thi Loan, Vice President of the Provincial Youth Union Council and Director of the Provincial Youth Activities Center, these intellectual playgrounds help children discover and develop their talents, while also creating an environment for skill training, fostering creative thinking, and promoting a proactive learning spirit. “We hope that each activity and each club will be a space for children to experience, express themselves, and nurture their dreams. When given the opportunity for holistic development, they will have a solid foundation to become useful citizens in the future,” Ms. Loan shared.
