The grapevines, laden with fruit, stretch across the greenhouse, creating a lush, straight green landscape—a refreshing new highlight in the Khánh Hưng countryside, which is typically known for its rice paddies.
Few would have imagined that a plant characteristic of the sunny and windy Ninh Thuan region would now "take root" in the rice paddies of Ca Mau . With a daring and innovative spirit, the vineyard owner boldly switched crops, taught himself cultivation techniques online, and ordered grape varieties from Ninh Thuan for experimental planting. Despite initial concerns about the soil and climate, the vineyard gradually proved its adaptability and healthy growth.
Visitors can leisurely stroll under the grapevines, witnessing firsthand the Ninh Thuan grapes thriving in their new soil.
Children enjoy the cool, green space, playing and exploring nature under the organic grapevines.
Ngo Duong Organic Vineyard covers an area of approximately 2,000 m², with nearly 1,000 grapevines grown in a modern greenhouse system, using drip irrigation and organic fertilizers. Grape varieties such as candy grapes, finger grapes, black grapes, and green finger grapes were selected for trial planting, with a total investment of over 2 billion VND for the vineyard and visitor area. After only about eight months, the grapes began to bear fruit, opening up prospects for a stable and sustainable production model.
Visitors are delighted to be able to touch the plump, juicy bunches of grapes right in the vineyard.
Mr. Vo Minh Duong, the vineyard manager, said: “I learned the techniques myself through the internet, and I planted and cared for the vines myself. Initially, I was quite worried due to the different soil conditions, but when I saw the plants growing well, I became even more determined. Grapes are mainly cultivated using organic fertilizer, and the care techniques are not too complicated if you monitor them regularly.”

For the past three months, the vineyard has been open to visitors free of charge. Locals and tourists from urban areas flock here to see the plump grapes in a rural area previously only familiar with rice paddies. The vineyard owner is happy to cut grapes for visitors to sample on the spot, while also offering food and drinks, introducing local specialties, and creating additional income.
The drip irrigation system and grapevine roots are cared for organically, ensuring stable plant growth and minimizing environmental impact.
Beyond its economic value, the Ngo Duong organic vineyard has become a welcoming ecological space where locals and tourists can experience and relax. From a purely agricultural area, this model is igniting hope for a new direction for rural Khanh Hung: clean, innovative, and community-oriented agriculture.
