Bac Son is known as the "golden valley" of Lang Son because of its landscape of vast fields of golden ripe rice, surrounded by majestic limestone mountains. Unlike terraced rice paddies, the golden season in Bac Son valley features flat, expansive rice fields stretching as far as the eye can see.

The photos were taken in Bac Son Valley during the rice harvest season. The golden color of the ripening rice adorns the valley, creating a picturesque scene. The unevenly divided fields, some green, some yellow, blend together to create a magnificent and captivating natural landscape. From the top of Na Lay Peak, the Bac Son Valley appears peaceful and full of enchanting colors. Amidst the rolling mountains, the houses, roads, and rivers seem small, and the figures of people appear as tiny dots moving against the golden backdrop. Here and there, white smoke from burning straw rises, adding an impressive touch... all contributing to the beauty of Bac Son during the rice harvest season. This photo series was submitted to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
From mid-July, the Bac Son valley (Lang Son province) begins to don a brilliant golden hue as the rice fields ripen, preparing for harvest. To admire the panoramic view of the Bac Son valley, visitors can climb to the summit of Na Lay mountain, which is about 600m high. 


The unevenly divided rice paddies, some green, some yellow, blend together to create a magnificent and captivating natural landscape. While the rice paddies in Bac Son may not possess the same beauty as the terraced fields in Y Ty, Lao Cai , or Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai, this place still attracts photographers with its unique charm.
The stream meanders through the rice fields, providing irrigation water for the lush, year-round thriving crops. Visitors can combine admiring the ripening rice with watching the sunrise in the Bac Son valley on sunny days. Avoid going on rainy days as the stone steps leading up the mountain are very slippery and dangerous. 
The Bac Son Valley is surrounded by lush, verdant limestone mountain ranges.
