In just a few days, Mrs. Luu Thi Leo's house will have an additional porch, kitchen, toilet, and a reinforced cement yard. The entire project was carried out by the Muong Khuong Border Guard Post using funds from its officers and soldiers, as well as contributions from benefactors. The completed project will help Mrs. Leo's family – an impoverished household in Pao Tung village, Tung Chung Pho commune – to have a better life.

"I'm old now, and my family is struggling financially, but every year the officials show concern, visit, and give gifts, especially the border guards. I'm so happy to receive support for house repairs; I don't have anything to worry about anymore," Mrs. Lẻo shared.

Border guards and philanthropists are helping poor households in Pao Tung village build sturdy houses.

Together with the family of Ms. Luu Thi Leo, the Muong Muong Border Guard Station mobilized social resources to support two poor households with particularly difficult circumstances in Tung Chung Pho commune with 160 million VND to renovate their houses. To date, one house has been completed and handed over for use, creating motivation for the people to strive to improve their lives.

Ms. Dao Minh Nguyet, representing the group of philanthropists in Vinh Phuc province, said: "Through this program, we are very grateful for the connection and assistance of the border guards, which helped our group fulfill our aspirations. We hope that everyone's love for the people in the highlands will spread, and that many more people in difficult circumstances will receive help."

Mr. Vuong Su Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tung Chung Pho commune, said: "In 2025, we aim to demolish 118 houses. In addition to the government's support policies and the involvement of the local authorities, the Border Guard Post has connected with and contributed resources to directly support the people, helping them to demolish temporary houses more easily."

The Muong Khuong Border Guard Station and benefactors presented gifts to impoverished households in Tung Chung Pho commune.

Along with supporting Tung Chung Pho commune, officers and soldiers of the Muong Khuong Border Guard Station also actively contributed labor to help families in the district speed up the house construction process, with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".

Captain Vang Van Vinh, Deputy Political Officer of Muong Khuong Border Guard Station, said: “The Muong Khuong Border Guard Station has actively deployed forces to monitor the local situation, review households with particularly difficult circumstances and those without family members, and deploy forces in coordination with local Party committees, authorities, and other forces stationed in the area to assist these families.”

Border guards help people build new houses.

Working together with utmost effort, warm and harmonious homes built between the military and civilians are multiplying in the highland border villages. The people are receiving care and support to build prosperous and happy lives, feeling secure in their land and villages, and actively cooperating with functional forces to ensure security and order in the locality.
