The 2026 high school graduation exam has concluded, but the echoes of Ninh Binh's achievements in education and training continue to resonate strongly. For the first time in many years, Ninh Binh has risen to the top of the country in average scores across all subjects, becoming the province with the most outstanding exam quality among the 34 provinces and cities.

This is not the result of a single successful exam, nor is it an achievement due to luck. Behind this leading position lies a systematic preparation process, the coordinated efforts of the Party committee, government, and education sector, along with the dedication of thousands of teachers and the persistent efforts of nearly 48,000 students.
Comrade Pham Tien Dung, Head of the Quality Management Department (Department of Education and Training), stated: The 2026 high school graduation exam is taking place in a context with many new aspects, especially as it is the first year of operating the two-tiered local government model. The large scale of the exam, with over 48,000 candidates taking the exam at 85 testing locations, places very high demands on the direction, coordination, and organization of the exam.
From the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee and the Examination Steering Committee to develop a scientific organizational plan, closely adhering to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training . Simultaneously, schools implemented review plans tailored to different student groups; strengthened testing and evaluation, organized mock exams, and adjusted teaching methods to suit each student's abilities.

In particular, the peak exam preparation period, with the slogan "Dedication in teaching - Diligence in learning - Confidence in entering the exam room," has become a widespread emulation movement throughout the entire education sector. Thousands of teachers volunteered to provide free extra tutoring and support students both directly and online outside of regular school hours, contributing to consolidating knowledge and creating a confident mindset before the exam day.
It was this thorough preparation that laid the foundation for Ninh Binh to enter the exam with a proactive mindset and achieve impressive results.
The numbers speak for themselves, confirming the true quality of education.
Ninh Binh's average exam score reached 6.322 points , the highest in the country and significantly exceeding the national average of 5.722 points .
Looking solely at the top ranking, one might think this is due to the achievements of a few strong subjects. However, a deeper analysis reveals that the province's educational quality has developed evenly across most areas.

The next two weeks are considered a crucial period for candidates to make important decisions in their academic and career journey.
Ten out of twelve subjects ranked in the top 10 nationwide , with five subjects ranking first , two ranking second , and one ranking third .
Notably, the two compulsory subjects, Mathematics and Literature, both led the nation. Mathematics achieved an average score of 6.265 points , with 287 papers receiving a perfect score of 10 ; Literature achieved 7.257 points – the highest score nationwide.
Geography, Technology - Agriculture, and Technology - Industry continued to rank first; Informatics and History ranked second nationwide. The province had 502 perfect scores of 10 , reflecting the sustained quality of high-achieving students in many fields.

Not only did this year's exam stand out in terms of overall performance, but it also showcased many outstanding individuals.
Many students achieved scores of 29.5 or higher in traditional subject combinations; some students scored 28.75 points , the highest in the province in the D01 combination; notably, two students from Nam Ly High School and Le Quy Don High School both achieved 38.25 points in the four subjects for graduation examination - the highest achievement in the entire province.
In the specialized high school category, Le Hong Phong, Luong Van Tuy, and Bien Hoa specialized high schools continue to maintain their leading positions. Meanwhile, many general high schools such as Hoang Van Thu, Nam Ly, A Hai Hau, Giao Thuy, and Le Quy Don have also made significant breakthroughs, showing that the quality gap between localities is narrowing.
In particular, the entire province had 46,459 out of 46,675 candidates recognized as having graduated, achieving a rate of 99.54% , continuing to be among the localities with the highest graduation rates nationwide.
These figures not only reflect the results of an exam but also demonstrate a strategy to improve the quality of education in a substantive, equitable, and sustainable manner.

Strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and the United States.On July 3rd, as part of the Pacific Partnership - Friends of the Pacific 2026 program, the U.S. Army Pacific delegation, led by Lieutenant General Joel Vowell, Deputy Commander of the U.S. Army Pacific, paid a courtesy visit to the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the Department of Education and Training, stated that in the context of fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training, Ninh Binh has persistently pursued the goal of improving quality in a substantive way instead of chasing achievements. The innovation in teaching methods, assessment, and student classification to develop appropriate review plans has contributed to maximizing the potential of each student.
This year's achievements also demonstrate the effectiveness of mobilizing the strength of the entire society to care for education. From the attention of Party committees and governments at all levels, the support of parents, to the dedication of teachers, all converge on a common goal: creating the best conditions for students to enter the exam with a solid foundation.
This achievement is all the more significant considering it was made possible in the province's first year operating under a two-tiered local government model. The new system operated stably, and the smooth coordination between departments, agencies, and localities contributed to ensuring the exam was conducted safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
