Ninh Thuan develops tourism from sunshine and wind.

Ninh Thuan is a province located in the South Central coastal region of Vietnam, within the national tourism cluster of the Da Lat - Nha Trang - Phan Rang tourism triangle. Its unique climate, characterized by little rain and abundant sunshine, is largely unaffected by typhoons year-round, earning it the nickname "Southeast Asia's most unique desert region." This sun-drenched, windy land is considered a distinctive destination within the South Central region's tourism offerings. It is a promising area poised for global and regional tourism development in Vietnam in the coming years.

On March 28, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision on regulations to attract and develop high-class tourism in Ninh Thuan province, which has attracted many investors with large-scale tourism projects. To date, 57 tourism service projects in the province have been granted investment policy decisions/investment registration certificates, with a total registered capital of over 29,686 billion VND; of which 19 projects are in operation with a total registered capital of 3,180 billion VND. The tourism accommodation system continues to develop, with the number of rooms meeting quality standards equivalent to 3 stars or higher accounting for over 50%. The image of Ninh Thuan tourism and its tourist destinations has gradually become known to tourists, voted on and included in the "World Tourism Map".

Ninh Thuan boasts a coastal road stretching over 100 km from Binh Tien district to Ca Na. This region possesses all the necessary conditions and outstanding potential for tourism development, creating unique tourism products. With its 360-day-a-week sunny climate, Ninh Thuan is suitable for the growth and development of crops and livestock such as grapes, apples, garlic, asparagus, aloe vera, sheep, and goats, which have become a key brand for Ninh Thuan tourism.

High mountain ranges facing the sea create coves and bays with blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine, such as Ninh Chu, Binh Tien, Ca Na, Nam Cuong sand dunes, Mui Dinh, Hang Rai… Among them, Vinh Hy Bay is ranked as one of the 8 most beautiful bays in Vietnam. Nature has also bestowed upon Ninh Thuan unique ecological zones that are advantages for developing beach tourism, ecotourism, and resort tourism, and are places for preserving the biodiversity of the forest and marine ecosystems of the South Central region, with rare animal and plant species, including sea turtles. Nui Chua National Park is one of the 9 biosphere reserves of the world.

Ethnic cultures are a strong asset for tourism development. Ninh Thuan boasts Cham towers associated with the Katê festival of the Cham people, unique folk music and dance, the traditional My Nghiep brocade weaving village, and the Bau Truc pottery village with their long-standing traditions. In the mountainous areas, ethnic groups such as the Raglai, Kơ-ho, and Churu have many traditional festivals with unique cultural identities, such as the funeral rites and the first rice harvest festival. They also have unique folk songs, dances, and music, including the Ma La drumming, the gourd flute playing, the stone xylophone, and the Chapi instrument. In the coastal areas, fishermen have fishing festivals, boat races, basket-shaking games, and other traditional activities.

Ninh Thuan possesses all the necessary conditions and outstanding capabilities for tourism development, from unique factors that create distinctive tourism products to enhancing the competitiveness of tourism development in the trend of integration and development. Ninh Thuan is located in the middle of the Nha Trang - Phan Thiet - Da Lat tourism development triangle in the South Central region, which is also a favorable condition for connecting major tourism centers nationwide.

Over the past 30 years, alongside the renewal process of Ninh Thuan province, the tourism industry has made strong strides, from exploiting its potential to finding its own unique direction. In particular, the province has always focused on promoting Ninh Thuan's image to make it unique and create a strong impression on domestic and international tourists.

As experts have noted, the "trump card" lies in projects that match Ninh Thuan's potential, making it a highlight in the tourism landscape of South Central Vietnam. It's no surprise that this region, already famous for its sunshine and wind, is becoming the tourism capital of the country and is poised to reach Asian prominence in the future. Mr. Tran Quoc Nam shared: "We are ready to welcome and collaborate with tourism businesses and tourism real estate investors, both domestic and international."

With the goal of developing tourism into a key economic sector of the province, Ninh Thuan has been developing in a high-class, focused direction, exploiting and developing unique tourism products, and enhancing regional competitiveness. This is the province's tourism development strategy, creating a breakthrough for Ninh Thuan tourism on the Vietnamese tourism map.
