One winter afternoon on the unit's training ground, Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung was instructing Sergeant Ngan Anh Dinh, the BM21 squad leader, on the movements involved in maintaining the squad's readiness for combat training. Sergeant Ngan Anh Dinh had initially faced difficulties in maintaining the squad's training and integrating into the unit due to a lack of appropriate methods and skills.

Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung always upholds the spirit of self-study and self-improvement.  

In that situation, as Platoon Leader, Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung promptly showed concern, maintained close contact with Sergeant Ngan Anh Dinh, understood his thoughts and feelings, regularly provided training on methods and maintained discipline, and directly guided, shared experiences with, and encouraged Sergeant Dinh to gradually overcome his limitations. To date, Sergeant Dinh has mastered the training content, made significant progress in maintaining the squad, integrated well with the group, and confidently carried out the task of training new recruits.

Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung is a young officer in Brigade 368. As a platoon leader, Lieutenant Hung quickly recognized the responsibility of a commanding officer directly involved in training and managing troops; he proactively learned, trained, and flexibly applied the knowledge acquired at school to the practical training and combat readiness of his unit.

Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung shared: “Although I have only been working at the unit for over a year, I have always received attention and guidance from the Party committee and commanders at all levels in training methods and troop management experience; I always strive to learn from my comrades, superiors, and soldiers, thereby gradually improving my work capacity and meeting the requirements of the mission in the new situation.”

Besides successfully completing his duties in training and managing troops, in 2025, Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung was selected to participate in the Brigade's team at the 12th Army Corps' Sports and Physical Education Competition. With serious training and high determination, the Brigade's team won first place in the "Healthy Soldier" category, contributing to improving the unit's physical training quality.

In 2025, Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung participated in the Brigade-level Competition for Excellent Platoon Leaders in Training; during the competition, he demonstrated strong leadership skills, command methods, and training organization abilities, winning second prize and receiving recognition from the Party Committee and commanders at all levels.

Thanks to his efforts in studying, training, and work, in 2025 Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Hung was awarded the title of Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level and Party member who excellently completed his duties.
