This is a space connecting the past and the present, a place to deeply engrave the moral and humanistic values that the great poet Nguyen Du left for the country's culture. With attractive experiential activities, especially for the young generation, the relic site is becoming an indispensable destination for those who want to learn more about the career and personality of one of the greatest celebrities in the history of Vietnamese literature.

A vibrant cultural heritage, blending tradition and modernity
Nguyen Du relic site is located in Tien Dien commune, Ha Tinh province, planned in a core area of more than 2.85 hectares, located in the overall landscape of nearly 300 hectares, preserving the spatial structure of Tien Dien ancient village. Wooden houses, temples, tombs and museums are arranged along the traditional axis, blending with the system of gardens, brick yards, lotus wells and ancient green spaces typical of the North Central region in the late 18th century.
Standing out in the complex is Nguyen Du Church, built in 1825 in the shape of the letter Dinh (丁), with a yin-yang tiled roof and elegant wooden structure. Despite having undergone many renovations and relocations, the building still retains its spirit of respect for the nation's outstanding son.
Next door is Nguyen Du Ancient House, a rustic three-room house - where the Great Poet used to return to rest after long trips. The building is like a stream of memories, preserving the breath of his daily life.
In the relic complex, the two-storey exhibition house with an area of over 400m² is the most modern architectural structure. Here, nearly 1,000 artifacts, manuscripts and documents about the life and works of Nguyen Du, from Truyen Kieu, Van te thap loai chung sinh to travel notes... are preserved. The exhibition space is designed in an open, accessible direction, creating conditions for visitors, especially pupils and students, to understand more deeply about his personality and literary career.
Not far from the relic site, the tomb of the Great Poet is located in Dong Cung field, more than 3,200m² wide, facing West according to traditional customs. The simple, quiet architecture reflects his "great soul in a simple appearance" personality. The tombs of the ancestors around create a solemn, complete memorial space, where the past and present blend, turning the Nguyen Tien Dien family's vestiges into a National Cultural Heritage.

Connecting people to heritage
As Ha Tinh province prepares to celebrate the 260th birthday of the great poet Nguyen Du, the relic site welcomes many groups of tourists, especially schools in the area.
Ms. Le Nhu Ai, Principal of Xuan Thanh Kindergarten (Tien Dien Commune) said that the school organized a visit for students to help them remember the image of the great poet of the nation. Before that, the school also organized a calligraphy contest for students and teachers.
The Nguyen Du Relic Site not only preserves traditional architecture but also preserves the spirit, spirit and cultural personality of a family that has made Vietnamese literature famous. Each building, each brick and roof tile in the Relic Site tells a story about the immortal legacy of the Great Poet.
Ms. Tran Thi Vinh, in charge of the Nguyen Du Relics Management Board, shared: Over the years, the Management Board has innovated methods of preserving and introducing heritage, in which the human factor plays an important role. The team of tour guides is the "living bridge" between the heritage and the public.

“We have a standard system of presentations, but we do not apply it mechanically. Each group of guests, from general tourists, students to cultural researchers, needs their own approach. For groups from the countryside, the tour guide will connect local stories with the history of Nguyen Du’s family to create closeness and broaden understanding,” said Ms. Vinh.
In particular, for students of all levels, the teaching method focuses on “learning while experiencing”. After the explanation, students participate in the lucky spin game about Truyen Kieu and answer questions to receive souvenirs. This method helps students to be interested, remember better and actively learn about Nguyen Du.
In addition to traditional methods, the Relic Management Board also applies technology such as QR code scanning, VR and AR experiences to help visitors access the heritage intuitively. However, the most important thing is to help the public understand the moral and humanistic values of Nguyen Du.
Ms. Tran Thi Vinh recalled that in 2015, the Management Board began to develop a plan to bring the Tale of Kieu into modern life and spread that value at the relic site. Since then, many activities have been implemented such as: The Tale of Kieu recitation contest, the Kieu Games program, the Tale of Kieu calligraphy contest in early spring... attracting a large number of students, teachers and tourists to participate.
The preservation of heritage not limited to the relic site has spread strongly through folk art forms such as: Ca Tru, Vi, Giam, Lay Kieu, Xam Kieu. When Truyen Kieu was put into music , lyrics and melody, this masterpiece transcended the borders of space and time, spreading to many generations and different cultural regions.
On the occasion of the upcoming 260th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Nguyen Du, the relic site is expected to welcome a large number of students and tourists. “This is a precious opportunity for us to connect people with heritage, spread and cultivate the values of life from Nguyen Du. Especially for the young generation, this is an opportunity to help them feel more deeply the value of humanistic education and ethical standards from the life and works of the great poet”, Ms. Tran Thi Vinh emphasized.
