Accordingly, a number of Nokia-branded phones have been removed from HMD Global's European sales website. Newly released models are being renamed, while older models are being marked as "end-of-life" and no longer sold. This process is being carried out discreetly.

However, Nokia phones are still listed on HMD Global's websites in Asia, North America, and Latin America, suggesting the transition didn't happen simultaneously. Some tech sites predict that HMD Global likely sold off remaining stock in these regions before discontinuing the phones.
According to GizChina, the reason could be that the Nokia brand license is set to expire at the end of this year, and HMD wants to focus on its own brand instead of applying for an extension.
Some experts believe that the smartphone market is becoming increasingly competitive and Nokia seems to be losing ground, no longer having enough appeal to customers.
HMD has not yet commented on the above content.
