The national agricultural product traceability system will go into operation tomorrow (July 1st). The official launch ceremony will take place this afternoon.
The system went into operation after a pilot period for exported durian products. The system was built with three components: a search portal for citizens, a management system serving regulatory agencies and businesses, and a mobile application.
The data is authenticated using digital signatures, blockchain technology, and product identification according to the international GS1 standard.
To date, the system has integrated data on more than 18,500 products from 170 businesses in various localities. For durian exports, 16 businesses have participated in the pilot program, with 6 containers successfully exported to the Chinese market through the electronic traceability system.
After official launch, the system will continue to expand its deployment to key agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors, while connecting data with localities, businesses, and relevant ministries and agencies, aiming to form a unified data system.
