Persistently building a business from scratch.
Born in 1983 into a farming family in Yen Bai province (now Lao Cai province), after graduating from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in 2005, Nguyen Thi Khuyen did not choose the path of joining the state civil service but instead applied to work as an employee for private enterprises.

Remarkably, regardless of her position, Nguyen Thi Khuyen always excelled at her job. Those years working for others provided her with market experience, sales skills, and a deep understanding of the materials industry. In particular, her time working for Yen Bai Cement and Mineral Joint Stock Company sparked her desire to start her own business, leveraging the local raw material advantages.
In 2014, Vinafine Calcium Carbonate Company, headed by Nguyen Thi Khuyen, officially began operations, specializing in supplying limestone powder to the paint, plastics, and paper industries. In its early days, the company started almost from scratch: with little capital, no customers, and having to gradually expand its market.
But with the motto of treating customers as her "benefactors," Ms. Khuyen persistently built her reputation through product quality and responsibility in every order. From a revenue of 546 million VND in 2014, by the end of 2018, the company's revenue had reached over 10 billion VND. This achievement is a significant milestone, demonstrating the correctness of the spirit of doing things honestly and thoroughly, with trustworthiness as the foundation.
Not content with simply supplying crushed stone powder, Nguyen Thi Khuyen continued to seek a new direction with higher added value and environmental responsibility. Based on the fact that her locality had abundant raw materials for the construction industry, she conceived the idea of producing non-fired colored roof tiles using advanced technology.
Speaking to a reporter from the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Khuyen said that from the very beginning of her business, she had determined not to sacrifice environmental pollution for economic development. This is not just a slogan, but has become a guiding principle throughout the company's product selection, technology, and production organization.
In early 2018, Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established, specializing in the production of smart colored roof tiles using advanced green technology from Japan. Initially, the company invested over 5 billion VND in a wet-pressing roof tile production line with an average capacity of approximately 50,000 tiles per month.
At that time, unburnt colored roof tiles were a relatively new product to Vietnamese consumers, especially in the Northwest region. Changing building material usage habits was not easy. Businesses also faced difficulties in terms of investment capital, technical personnel, and market challenges.
However, instead of taking shortcuts, Nguyen Thi Khuyen and her colleagues gradually overcame difficulties, focusing on major cities in the Northwest region, approaching projects with high aesthetic and quality requirements. Simultaneously, the company prioritized employing and training local workers; inviting skilled experts to support skill development, and building a workforce with professional skills and work ethics.
Notably, Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. chooses to produce environmentally friendly product lines such as unburnt bricks and tiles. These products are manufactured using recycled materials from the stone powder supply process and do not undergo firing, thus minimizing emissions and waste. Throughout the production process, the company also focuses on recycling, saving raw materials and electricity, and efficiently utilizing resources.
To date, the company has developed 9 lines of non-fired roof tiles, including a Korean-style line with many intricate details, manufactured in Vietnam using non-fired pressing technology. Nasaki's products have been supplied to many large construction projects, including those of Vingroup , Ocean Park, etc., and it is one of only three factories in Vietnam exporting non-fired bricks and tiles abroad.

Good deeds stem from a kind choice.
What's admirable about Nguyen Thi Khuyen's story isn't just that a female CEO born in the 1980s built a business from humble beginnings. More importantly, she chose a responsible path: developing production without harming the environment; expanding markets while still creating jobs for local workers; and building a brand based on quality and reputation.
Currently, Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. has achieved sales of over 1 million roof tiles, generating total revenue of 21 billion VND and providing regular employment for 20 local workers with an income of over 7 million VND per person per month. For a rural industrial enterprise, these figures not only reflect business results but also demonstrate a concrete contribution to the lives of workers and the economic development of the locality.
In 2023, Nasaki's non-fired colored bricks and tiles were recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a typical national rural industrial product. This is an acknowledgment of the company's innovative efforts and serves as motivation for rural industrial products to continue improving quality and expanding their markets.
Not only has Nasaki established a strong domestic presence, but it has also gradually expanded into the international market. Nasaki Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed an exclusive distribution contract for colored roof tiles with LSG Investment Cambodia Co., Ltd., a company that successfully exported over 4,300 flat roof tiles to the Malaysian market, with a total value exceeding US$6,000.
For Nguyen Thi Khuyen, each export order is not just a commercial success. It's also a source of pride that products made by local workers can reach foreign markets, contributing to affirming the value of Vietnamese goods and the capabilities of rural industrial enterprises.
From a rural girl starting her business with limited capital and customers to the head of a green manufacturing enterprise, Nguyen Thi Khuyen has proven that "good people, good deeds" sometimes begin with very specific choices: doing business honestly, not chasing profits at all costs, maintaining credibility with customers, caring for employees, and persevering on the path of sustainable development.
In that story, the title is not the end point, but a foundation for the 8X female CEO and the Nasaki team to continue improving products, enhancing the quality of personnel, expanding the retail market and major projects. CEO Nguyen Thi Khuyen's journey shows that when businesses know how to place responsibility towards the environment, employees, and the community in their development strategy, economic activities not only create material value but also become meaningful work, contributing to a more beautiful path to success.
In production and business, Nguyen Thi Khuyen pursues the "3T" philosophy: Confidence - Pioneering - Integrity. For her, confidence means daring to choose a new direction; pioneering means boldly investing in green technology; and integrity means creating useful, environmentally friendly products, maintaining credibility with customers, and being responsible to employees.
