Ms. Tran Thi Bich Phuong (born in 1971) - President of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune (Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province ) - always takes the lead, guiding the union's movement into order and creating a ripple effect among its members.

Having served as the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune since 2013, Ms. Phuong clearly understands her role and responsibility as the "leader" in the union's movement, so she always makes studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh her guiding principle.

Ms. Phuong shared: “I understand that I must always learn from and follow Uncle Ho's example, starting with the smallest and simplest things. Therefore, I always stay close to and care for everyone, especially women and children. Since becoming the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune, I have had more opportunities to regularly interact and exchange ideas with women, and participate in activities and movements. From there, I can understand their thoughts and aspirations so that I can provide more effective assistance to those in difficulty and distress. Moreover, this approach also helps to promptly and easily convey the policies, laws, and regulations of the Party and State, as well as the emulation movements launched by the higher-level Women's Union, to the members.”

As a key figure in these activities, Ms. Phuong has always set a good example, leading the way in maintaining and expanding activities to gather and attract members, and diversifying the content of the association's activities according to the motto "wherever there are women, there are association activities".

She always sets monthly and quarterly goals and strives to concretize each task. The learning and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, linked to the campaigns and emulation movements of the association, are implemented wholeheartedly and collaboratively by her and other women, achieving high results.

Since 2021, through promoting the "Study and follow the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh," the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune has identified and replicated more than 150 outstanding individuals and groups.

The Women's Union of Tung Anh commune has regularly maintained 45 local savings groups with outstanding loans exceeding 1 billion VND per year, helping over 120 members in difficult circumstances to borrow interest-free loans to develop their economy ; built 36 models for sorting and processing household waste, and guided members to ensure compliance with the "5 no's, 3 clean" criteria...

In response to the "Women Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas" emulation movement, the association launched and completed 36 projects worth over 250 million VND; mobilized members to contribute 2,000 man-days to road construction and new rural development; undertook the regular maintenance of 24 road sections to keep them "bright, green, clean, and beautiful"; called for and supported the "Shelter of Love" fund with over 40 million VND; and provided 32 livelihood models to poor women and women in difficult circumstances.

The above figures demonstrate the efforts and dedication of Ms. Phuong and the collective of women in Tung Anh commune. Their unity, solidarity, and enthusiasm have contributed to the local government and people's efforts in building a more prosperous Tung Anh homeland.

Whenever and wherever you go, you can easily find Ms. Phuong enthusiastically involved in women's activities. From folk dance movements and physical education and sports to club activities, her presence is always felt. She is always thoughtful and innovative, developing ideas and plans to advance the women's movement. As a result, for many years, the women's work in Tung Anh commune has consistently been among the top performers in women's movements in Duc Tho district.

Ms. Phuong shared: “Remembering Uncle Ho's teaching: 'Competition is patriotism, and patriotism requires competition,' I always strive to contribute my efforts to the development of my homeland. I always dedicate myself to making the association's activities grow. My daily joy comes from witnessing the changes in the lives of the women, the unity, love, and sharing among the members..."

Activities expressing gratitude and supporting poor and disadvantaged women are also regularly and continuously carried out by Ms. Phuong and the local branches.

Having worked alongside Ms. Phuong since the early days of her involvement in women's affairs, Ms. Bui Thi Thu, Head of the Women's Association in Vong Son village (Tung Anh commune), said: "Ms. Phuong never hesitates to dedicate her time and effort, always enthusiastic and attentive to activities at the grassroots level.
