Before the first half ended, Iga Kunoichi Mie Club once again took the lead 2-1 from a lapse in concentration by the Vietnamese defense.

In the second half, coach Mai Duc Chung made a series of substitutions to refresh the squad in the 62nd minute. These adjustments quickly paid off when Hai Yen scored a double in the 75th and 86th minutes, helping the Vietnamese women's team come from behind to win 3-2.
