On June 11th, the Vietnamese women's national team played their first friendly match during their training camp in Japan, against Iga Kunoichi Mie, the team currently ranked 3rd in the Japanese First Division. The final score was 3-2 in favor of coach Mai Duc Chung's team.
Despite conceding a goal in the 2nd minute, Chung's team quickly regained control of the game. In the 16th minute, Nguyen Thi Van scored the equalizer, making it 1-1.

Before the first half ended, Iga Kunoichi Mie FC once again took a 2-1 lead thanks to a lapse in concentration from the Vietnamese defense.
In the second half, coach Mai Duc Chung made a series of substitutions to refresh the lineup in the 62nd minute. These adjustments quickly proved effective when Hai Yen scored a brace in the 75th and 86th minutes, helping the Vietnamese women's team come from behind to win 3-2.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's team will continue to play friendly matches against two Japanese university teams: Tezukayama Gakuin University (June 13) and Osaka University of Sports Science and Health (June 15).
This training camp is an important preparation step for the Vietnamese women's national team towards the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers. In this tournament, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group E along with Guam, UAE, and Maldives, playing at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho province ).
