According to Antara, the Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano, located in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara province, erupted again in the early morning of August 2nd.
According to a statement from the Center for Volcanic and Geological Risk Reduction (PVMBG) under the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the eruption occurred at 1:05 AM local time on August 2nd and lasted approximately 14 minutes and 5 seconds.
The volcanic ash plume reached a height of approximately 18 kilometers above sea level.
Loud rumbling and explosions were reported at the Lewotobi Laki-laki Volcano Observatory during the eruption.

The Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano remains under Level IV Alert or Warning status.
Additionally, the public is advised to be vigilant about the risk of lava flows, especially during periods of heavy rain. Villages at risk include Dulipali, Padang Pasir, Nobo, Nurabelen, Klatanlo, Hokeng Jaya, Boru, and Nawakote.
Earlier, on the night of August 1st, the Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano erupted violently, sending a column of ash up to 10 km high.
The head of the Geological Survey, Muhammad Wafid, reported that the eruption occurred at 8:48 p.m. and was recorded on a seismic map with a maximum amplitude of 47.3 mm and lasted for approximately 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
