Due to the impact of heavy rain and flooding, Phuc Tho district had to relocate 67 households with 165 people to safe shelters. After the storm subsided, the people settled down and returned to their homes. There were no casualties in the district.

Statistics show that in Phuc Tho district, Typhoon No. 3 and its aftermath caused 647 trees to be broken or uprooted, and 940 trees to have broken branches. Eight buildings were damaged or had their roofs blown off. More than 500 hectares of rice fields were flattened or flooded, and about 260 hectares of various vegetable crops were damaged. The area of ​​fruit trees flooded, affecting productivity, is approximately 397 hectares…

To mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster, Phuc Tho district is currently directing functional units to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and towns to focus on handling broken and fallen trees, trimming and repairing damaged infrastructure and electrical faults; organizing the clearing of waterways, drainage ditches, and irrigation canals in the fields to drain water from rice and vegetable crops…

During an inspection of flood relief efforts, the Secretary of the Phuc Tho District Party Committee, Nguyen Doan Hoan, emphasized that the flood situation remains complex. Therefore, he requested that agencies, units, and the 18 communes and towns strengthen inspections and reviews of equipment and materials, promptly address any incidents on some dike sections, and focus on quickly mitigating the post-storm damage with the motto "repair as soon as floodwaters recede."

The district's specialized departments are developing plans to restore production, striving to preserve the people's valuable crops, addressing the flooded areas of vegetables and rice; repairing technical infrastructure; focusing on disinfection and disease prevention, and environmental sanitation in schools, residential areas, and public places...

Phuc Tho District Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Hoan also requested that communes and towns continue to refine plans for relocating residents in case of emergencies; and develop plans to ensure 24/7 security and order. At the same time, he urged them to intensify propaganda efforts to raise awareness and responsibility among officials and the public in flood and storm prevention.
