According to the district report, during the recent storms, Long Bien district had 3,168 trees broken or uprooted. Along with ensuring flood control efforts focused on the Red River and Duong River floodplains within the district, the district authorities, residents, and functional forces also concentrated on clearing and removing the broken and uprooted trees to prevent disruption to traffic, as well as conducting general environmental sanitation and preventing potential disease outbreaks.

The leaders of Long Bien district divided into four inspection teams to go down to the wards to inspect, encourage, and directly participate with the people in cleaning up the environment and clearing fallen trees caused by typhoon No. 3.
Previously, on September 13th, in Bo De ward, the People's Committee of the ward launched a general cleanup campaign involving 23 residential groups and residents; collecting all waste and debris, overturning mosquito larva eradication tools to prevent dengue fever, and clearing fallen trees on the streets. For large branches, Bo De ward requested the Land Development Center to assist in collecting and transporting them according to the plan of the District People's Committee. The People's Committee of the ward continued to handle and remove fallen branches and leaves to prevent traffic disruption and coordinated with relevant units to replant trees.

In Viet Hung ward, with the involvement of the entire political system, including the standing military, police, militia, local security forces, neighborhood groups, historical sites, agencies, units, schools, and the collective efforts of the ward's people, proactive measures were implemented to prevent and mitigate the effects of Typhoon No. 3. The ward mobilized forces and organized efforts effectively to address and overcome the consequences. However, due to the large number of fallen trees, including large, old, and long-standing trees, Viet Hung ward requested the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to continue directing relevant forces and units to coordinate with the ward in handling the situation.
According to the Chairman of the Long Bien District People's Committee, Nguyen Manh Ha, the District People's Committee requested the People's Committees of the wards, schools, and other units to compile a list of damaged locations and any difficulties or obstacles that need to be addressed and resolved by the district during the on-site inspection. The District People's Committee also assigned the Land Development Center to compile a comprehensive report on the remediation of damaged trees and environmental sanitation in the district.
At the same time, the Economic Department is tasked with overseeing the overall work of disaster prevention and mitigation, addressing the consequences of floods and storms in the district, and reporting any further issues identified after inspection to the District Party Committee Standing Committee on September 16th.

“In the coming time, the Long Bien District People's Committee will continue to organize functional forces to quickly overcome the incidents and consequences caused by the storm to ensure the smooth operation of the transportation, electricity, water, and communication infrastructure systems; maintain a 24/7 on-call force to provide timely support to people and handle incidents occurring in the area. Along with that, we will continue to direct efforts to ensure social welfare and disease prevention after the storm; ensure the stability of life, activities, and production of people, agencies, units, schools, and businesses,” emphasized Nguyen Manh Ha, Chairman of the Long Bien District People's Committee.
Also on September 14th, according to Ms. Vu Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien District, after organizing a fundraising campaign to support the people of the northern provinces affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien District received 1,144,173,000 VND from agencies, organizations, units, businesses, individuals, philanthropists, civil servants, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, and all strata of people in the district to be transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City.
